In one word: Kelly. My wife and I had already visited two stores (competitors, whom I won't name here) and one had a pushy salesperson and we quickly left, the other had no salesperson at all and we left after receiving no assistance. By the time we got to Dreams in Merthyr I was already pretty fed up with bed shopping before I even walked through the door. But I can't praise Kelly enough, she got the balance just right between supplying us with all the information we needed and NOT being a pushy salesperson. After answering all our questions Kelly made my wife and I a coffee each. What a wonderful, friendly atmosphere in that store! It genuinely felt like Kelly was more interested in making the experience enjoyable for us, than whether or not she got a sale. While my wife must have had a lie down on every mattress in the store Kelly covered every topic from the structure inside the mattress, to how our son is handling the move to comprehensive school. We saw beds we liked in each store we went to, but the advantage Dreams in Merthyr had over the competition was Kelly. My wife and I can't praise her enough and sincerely hope she gets the recognition she deserves.
