Staff disinterested when they realise you are on a budget... Seem to only care about selling high value items

I was quoted a price for everything I’d ordered of £2000. Your sales assistant had forgotten to include a pillow at £85, but this was then added to my bill. Metaphorically we’d shaken hands on a price and then something was added on due to no fault of mine. I’m usually vary wary of good salesmanship, but I think I was led into paying out a large sum of money as I’m in desperate need of pain relief from my spinal injury (i have ordered a Tempur mattress). I’m still not sure if I’ve done the right thing and I’m now committed to the purchase due to the hard sell and my sleep walking into the purchase. Finally, i have a 2 year old mattress from bensons for beds called a sensafoam 3000. I was informed by your sales assistant that this is an awful product and bensons for beds have had to withdraw it. This is not the case and this mattress has been awarded a ‘best buy’ by Which? Magazine. I do think your employee played on the fact I was in a lot of obvious pain (with my spine) and I was willing to accept his ‘expert’ opinion. I’m not saying I wouldn’t have bought the tempur mattress eventually, but feel angry with myself for falling for the hard sell, without thinking it through.

The item I wanted was not available from the maker- as it was a key item in bedroom furniture this was frustrating. The staff located the item at another Dreams store BUT I could not order and pay for it at the Dreams store I was in instead I have to make another trip to a different town to purchase it which is ridiculous - it's the same company I should have been able to complete the sale there and then and not travel 20 miles to do so. Thankfully the store are helping with pick up of the item as I was not able to do this myself. Some very frustrating administrative systems. We almost left the store without making a purchase at all. Staff were friendly but did not come over to help us when we arrived in the store. In a previous visit we walked around the whole store without any staff member offering us assistance - we purchased four beds elsewhere as staff were 100% more helpful. The girl who served us this time was however helpful and sincere in her interactions with us.

Went to the store to buy a bed frame, but none of the 3 employees come to help or inform what kind/models of beds they have, i needed to go to their desk ask help, then i left the store because none of them show me a bed frame similar the one i saw online in your website. When i leave store i realized they have a bed inside plastics on the exit door for other buyer, similar the one i want it, so i came back and asked if they still have more of those beds to sell, and she told me they have in warehouse, then i bought it. You should teach your employees how to sell, lucky i bought the bed there because i AM not to many exigent. But dont think i will return. Best regards.

The college dealing with me was highly condescending, and I found the way he delivered his advice insulting. He talked down to me as though the item I was originally looking at was a stupid choice and I obviously should have known that the pricier model was much more suitable If it hadn't been half three on a Sunday, and we didn't urgently need the product he would have been told where to shove his smug know it all opinion!

I was unsatisfied as I had to stand and wait for 10 minutes plus for assistance. The shop was not busy and one person continued with phone calls whilst looking at us and another walked past us a couple of times and then when another customer came in went on to help them first. Then only did it force the person on the phone to come over. Other assistant staff upstairs where hanging over the stair rails calling down to the downstairs staff. I was cross as I know they knew we were waiting for help and chose to not bother. when we eventually got help and said what we wanted to purchase there was no explanation about the product just rushed over to the desk to pay.
