Gemma the sales assistant was excellent, she couldn't have done a better job helping us, I'm highly delighted with her service. The problem was how long it took to place the order as there wher only 2 Pc's in the store and they where in constant use. After waiting over 30 minutes, I said I had to go to Barker & Stonehouse to place an order for some wardrobes, and asked her if she would process my order while I was gone, I was gone about 45-60 minutes, when I returned she had still not had chance to process my order, so again I had to wait. Barker & Stonehouse staff all have wifi laptop Pc's so my order was placed while talking to the sales assistant. It would have saved a lot of time if your staff where issued with either a pc or tablet, so enabling them to place the order while while we where viewing them bed/mattress.

The overall service was very good, especially the customer service. Staff were very friendly and possessed a good attitude. The reason for not being highly satisfied was due to the price paid for items. As I purchased my mattress in the January sales I would of hoped to receive a better discount. However, as a whole I would be willing to return as a future customer.

We wanted to purchase 2 mattresses and 2 bed frames. We ordered the mattresses OK, but we were told the 2 bed frames that we advertised in the store (on special offer) were blocked for ordering and that we would have to check back in 4 or 5 weeks time to see if they had been released for sale. The Store Manager was very apologetic and helpful, and committed to honour the sale price in the future. However, we were disappointed that Dreams could advertise a product for sale (and have it on display in the store) and then not enable us to buy it. We wanted our bed frames ASAP so purchased alternative items from a competitor store (Bensons for Beds).

I had seen the bed frame I wanted (the jasmine in white) online but it was not on show in the shop. If I had not seen it online I would have walked out and gone to Bensons as there was no other metal bed frame suitable.

Sales assistant a bit too intense. Friendly enough but a bit too much for us

Only because I needed a mattress to take away immediately and the only option was a foam mattress . I ideally wanted a pocket sprung mattress . I was extremely happy with the assistant , however he was working alone so I had to wait whilst he dealt with another customer. If the shop had been busier, this might have been a problem. His help and assistance made up for any shortfalls elsewhere .

The store was empty of customers when we went in the store, we noticed 4 or 5 sales assistants in one area, we were looking for a bed with storage under and needed assistance, no one asked if we needed assistance and after a few minutes we had to ask, after this everything was excellent, in their defence they may have been receiving instructions from their manager. We bought a bed and received a first class service through out , which makes me think there must have been a reason for the slow start.
