As always the staff here is AMAZING. I'm a woman and nobody talks down to me. I moved pretty far away but I kept my doctors in the area. So I keep coming back here because of the service and staff.

My repair was handled professionally from beginning to end. Checking in was easy. A quick inspection determined what parts had to be ordered. I was able to leave and returned in a few hours allowing time for the parts to arrive. Upon return I was greeted and my truck was put on a lift. Once repairs began it became evident that hidden damage was going to require repair. What they found was the previous mechanical shop had stripped three of the studs that hold the exhaust pipe to the manifold. That also explained why I was smelling exhaust fumes in the cabin, which was the reason for my visit. The manager, Jim, have the most experience on issues like this, stepped in to make sure the three were removed and properly replaced. It required high heat from an acetylene torch to allow the old studs to be removed. After about an hour and patience, the repairs were completed and all was fine. I drove my truck back to Florida with no problems whatsoever - no fumes, no rattles and no more headaches. Therefore kudos to Jim, Fred and the crew at Midas in Bourbonnais. PS: I think Jim's nickname could be "Bender" because he has one heck of a talent to bend pipes to fit antiquated vehicles. Ciao!
