Big O Tires

Damaged all 20 of my Lugnuts cleaned out all of my Lugnuts were swollen so that is why they had to use a larger impact socket on my Lugnuts I do not believe any of that I've had this problem before with another tire shop that did the same thing to my Lugnuts

Really needed new tires and I am so glad I went there, as they did a great job and got me in that day. I enjoyed watching the NCAA basketball game while waiting for my car to get done. The wait was not long, so I had to hurry home to see the rest of the game!

we had them do front end work. then had to bring back for warranty work. took over 6 weeks and 6 different visits. 3 other shops and us telling the mechanics what needed done. finally they had a guy from nebraska come in and re due the entire front end. all the while they out in a gear box that went bad. and now we are not being reimbursed for all charges even though we have been told we would be. way more to story but not gonna type all here have a email chain on this matter and other issues that need addressed. sincerely unacceptable

air rench used to tighten lugs was set at maximum then tire tech. checked each lug with hand torque set at 90#. This method is back asswords since all lugs will easily pass as being tight enough but very likely were over tightened at the beginning; possibly causing brake rotar warpage. Mgr. did not seem to know how to handle my calling this out to them & shrugged it off as no big deal.

Took our car in for an oil change and asked them to determine issue with heater. They tried flushing the radiator which didn't help heating system. They were unable to fix the heating issue but didn't charge us for diagnose or flushing system and referred us to another local business. Very happy with the transaction.

On 8/27/2016 I brought my F150 in to the Altoona, IA. Big O Tire. It was around 1:00pm or after. I had been hearing a noise in the front and wanted it checked. A mechanic test drove the truck said he heard it and it was the wheel bearings. I was told they did not have time to fix it that day but if I could leave it or bring it back they would do it first thing Monday Morning. So I left the truck with an estimate of what was to be done including (both front wheel bearings and hubs replaced, tires rotated, breaks checked, and an oil change. Monday morning I had not heard anything from them by 11:00am so I called to see what was going on. I spoke to a guy who said they were looking at the truck and not sure what it was. I said did they do the oil change he said not sure he will check. ok. I gave hime my office number to call me at. By 1:40pm since I still had not heard anything i called again and talked to Meridith. She said the mechanic did not hear a noise, but found cupping on the inside of the front tires, so he was going to change the tires and do an allignement and drive it to see if it helps. If not he will do the bearings. I asked if it will be done today, she said yes. I said I will be on the way. I live 2 hours away! When I got there at 3:45pm the truck was still up on the rack. I asked how it was going and Meridith said the mechanic was getting ready to work on it now. I asked, what do you mean getting ready to "now"? she said he was going to do the allignment and see what he finds. I walked away because she had a call, but I came back and told her that I felt like nothing was done we had discussed, and no one is comunicating with me about what is happening! I asked her "did the oil get changed at least?" Meridith said "yes!" about 25 minutes later the mechanic brought the truck around to the front. He got out and asked how I was doing and I said not so good. I am not sure anything was done to my truck that needed to be done and now I am going to be driving it away after having it here for 3 days. He told me to drive it and see if I here any noise and if I do, bring it back. I went inside, Meridith handed me the keys and a piece of paper. She said no charge, we did not find anything. Drive the truck and if you hear the noise - tape it. I left and drove around for awhile. My wife and I ate dinner and when we were leaving I noticed the oil had not been changed. The old wal mart window sticker was still up and when I looked the oil filter was still the old one. By this point it was 5:35pm. We did not have time to get back to the Altoona store so we went to the Big O Tires in Ankeny, IA. THEY DID AN OIL CHANGE AT THE LAST MINUTE. I was very thankful. Next day. noise was back. called Ankeny store and they could hear it while I was speaking to them. I also made a tape. The next day I drove back to the Ankeny, IA. store to get the truck looked at. I told them what had happened and "Frank" said he was at the other store and remembered me, though he did not know what had happened as he was helping other customers. They immediatlyey took the truck for a test drive, brought it back and put it up on the rack. They found the break calliper on the right side was bad and the roters were worn. They fixed it and I went on the way. No more problems. Still not happy with the Altoona store and how things worked out. I will stop there! from here out the review is on the Ankeny Big O Tires.
