Big O Tires

In the winter, I went to Big O to buy winter tires. I stood outside in a blizzard for 35 minutes until they would open the doors at 7:00. The 30 freezing customers watched the workers drinking coffee inside the warm lobby while we waited. It then took 3 hours for the tires to be put on my car. Just had the winter tires taken off and had to buy new summer tires. Another 3 hours, but was told it would be "minutes." Got great tires, great deal and really nice manager who apologized, but it was a disappointing experience again.

Took my car in because my whole car shook, and pulled to the left. On my way to big o, I get a flat. AAA changed my tire and put my spare on. I finally make it to big O they tell me it's an alignment problem and that they'll fix my tire for me as well. $130 later, they tell me it is all good to go. Go to pick up my car, they left my spare on the car and my whole car still shakes and pulling to the left. Go back into big o to ask them too look at it. 4 hours later they do two more alignments and tell me they can't figure out what is wrong with my car. That it could possibly be the tires but there is nothing physically wrong with them that they can see. Now I'm back in my car, and my whole body is literally shaking as I drive away. I go in for a second opinion somewhere else, 30 minutes is all it took to tell me the lining in my tires is practically gone and that they could blow at any minute. New tires and another alignment later (my car was still out of alignment although big o claims they did an alignment 4 times), my car feels brand new. The best part is when I went back into tell them about what had happened, the manager became very condescending and refused to admit they had done anything wrong.

Made the arrangements ordered the tires the plan was to drop the car early since I had to drive 2 hours to work Wednesday morning. I dropped the car off at 6:00 am. Returned to pick up my car at 6:30pm. Was told the vehicle would not be done until 8:00pm. A number of cars were ahead of me because I dropped the car off before hours and did not hand my key to an employee. Even though I made the arrangement the night prior. i had to make arrangements on the fly for my children to get picked up and dogs get let out and dinner made since I had to wait over 12 hours to get tire put on. UnacceptableThere are 4 other tire service options which from now on I will use one of them. Big o has lost not only our 3 cars but my daughters my fathers brother sisters 4 cars and once this hits face book it will be an entire valley. Poor service

Well I brought my Audi in to get new tires put on. When I picked it up I had a brake sensor going off. They said they could not fix it but bring it somewhere else and big o will take care of it. Well they did not take care of it and will no longer stay by their word and fix it. Now I'm stuck with an Audi that does not work properly. Big o sucks. Lots of tire places within 300 yards of big O tires. Go to them they'll Beta go prices. Big O tires sucks!

I brought my truck in to get tires changed, after a few conversations it was concluded there were lug nuts and no special key so i was told they could break them off....... end of conversation. When i went to pay they charged me $25 PER LUG NUT in addition to the standard service! The total time they had my truck in the bay was 25 minutes to do all the work including mounting balancing etc etc. The managers attitude was that of a 12 year old child in the sense that they kept lying to my face saying he told me exactly how much it was going to be and didn't care about customer service or hearing my side at all. He kept repeating the total i needed to pay and was not willing to work with me at all. Will NEVER go back to this shop as they don't care about customer service or doing the right thing.

I needed to get 1 tire mounted and balanced. I called Big O Eagle-Vail and they said they couldn't get the tire so I was forced to order it online. After arriving at the shop I was quoted $30 for the mount and balance. I asked another employee and he said it was $18. I ended up paying $25?? What gives?? It took 2 hours to have the simple job done. After leaving the shop my tire pressure monitor went on saying that the tire was losing pressure! So, now I have to go back and deal with these clowns to get the tire pressure monitor fixed. And one more thing, I thought they would dispose of the old tire, but when I got home I noticed they had put it back into my trunk and didn't tell me. What a joke, I've tried to be patient with this shop but I am done. Losing another local customer because of terrible service!

Went in for an alignment after getting new tires, after waiting 2 hours with almost nobody else in the store I was told that that they can't do an alignment because my outer tie rods are bad. They were replaced around 30k miles ago and are still in excellent condition. Wasted my time just to try to get me to buy parts I don't need. Go somewhere else if you need an alignment.

I went in for a simple tire rotation and a $25 oil change since I received a coupon for it in the mail. I waited in their waiting room during the service. After an hour and a half the sales clerk came up to me to give me my keys and asked if I had been told about them having to buy a new bolt and nut for my tire while they were rotating them. No one had come up to me during my wait to tell me about this, nor did I receive any phone calls from them. So even though this should have been free, since they did a 'service' to my car without my permission, giving me no choice but to have to pay them, they ended up charging me $100 dollars for my oil change, and a 'replacement' of a nut and bolt. Can't help but feel like they took advantage of me since I am a young woman. I don't think I can trust taking my car to Big O anymore since this was not the first, but the second time this has occurred at this location. Seriously disappointed.

I'm not one to leave reviews, positive or negative, but I feel this is a public service announcement. We have limited choices in the valley but avoid Big O -Avon at all costs. The staff is friendly but they are equally if not more incompetent. A simple alternator replacement which should've taken a few hours (1 full day would've been acceptable) took one week and 4 visits on my part having to leave my car overnight. Big O = Big Mistake.

Just frustrated with the attempted "upsell" on the vehicle needs. Unfortunately I know my own vehicle and have a lot of experience on repairs. I also have a long history with several Big O dealers and this was a one of the worst experiences I have had. I came in for a rotation, balance, and alignment....took over an hour....no alignment was performed due to bad ball joints....the service guy saying that it couldn't be done unless I had new ball joints. This simply isn't true. On customer service. just make sure the recommendations are communicated more realistically and honest.

Terrible service: Waited over two hours for an oil change, which was never completed. Finally left and got it done down the street in 15 minutes.

I have always came to Big O in Eagle-Vail Colorado for any of my car needs. Usually they provide excellent and timely service. I got my oil changed last week and it took them almost 4 hrs to complete it, I even made an appointment the week before. This made me extremely late for work and interrupted most of my day. It should never take 4 hours for a simple oil change.

Waiting almost 4 hours, was told 2. The guy up front no help. However, Peter is awesome, unfortunately he must have been at lunch when I arrived!

My wife was in Indiana visiting family and her car was grinding in the front passenger wheel. She took the car in off of the recommendation of the family she was visiting and after 3 hours of waiting she was told the wheel bearing was bad in the passenger front side. The quote came back at over $500! I looked up the part online and found the wheel bearing assembly anywhere from $30 to $100, but Big O Tire had the part listed at over $300!!!!! I called them up and they came down very fast on the price of the part and the labor. The only thing I could think of is they were trying to take advantage of woman from out of town. Very dishonest and price gouging on parts.

Another horrible experience at the Big O eagle-Vail. This time they wound not honor their roadside warranty saying that I didn't purchase it. They even pulled the original invoice and the warranty was clearly there. I guess it's my own fault for continuing to returnto this store. No more. Waste of time and waste of money.

Last week's visit was the 6th balance/rotation in a row that I've had at least one tire with pressure 8+ lbs off the recommended rating. Each mechanic explains the root cause in a different way. Also, for 2/6 balance/rotation visits I've been the last customer for over an hour before the store closes and I walk down to find my car not being worked on with mechanics sweeping, hosing off, etc. Lastly, I've been on two occassions after an hour of waiting for a balance/rotation that my car can't be serviced because a machine broken. In reality, I talked further with the manager and I we came to the conclusion that he was jist actually short staffed that day.

I would not reccomend to anyone that I know. The Shop had my car for a week that they were supposed to replace a wheel on, charged me, and never put the wheel on. I am currently still waiting on a refund. Awful service!

I asked the help to switch out our summer tires to winter, check our brakes, and change the oil. He seemed not much in the mood to deal with customers. When my wife picked up the car, they never changed the oil. This is the second time that this has happened. Big O is not the only game in town.

Horrible experience. tires that were recommended were the wrong ones told to me by several industry professionals both with inside your company at different locations and competitors I spent $1800 actually more like 1900 and had them rotated every 5000 miles by a ford certified I got 12,000 miles out of them took a man that you guys and try and got one of your employees who was drunk literally drunk to try to sell me more tires an absolute joke

Friends and family you never go to big or tire they said oil change and free rotation tire but then never rotation your tire you should know that Sometimes they don't even change your oil they very much ripped-you up One of the worst service in my life you better go to Walmart you can see through what the doing so if you accidentally go there you just markdown you were tired end of the service and you take a look otherwise you're wasting your money.
