My wife was in Indiana visiting family and her car was grinding in the front passenger wheel. She took the car in off of the recommendation of the family she was visiting and after 3 hours of waiting she was told the wheel bearing was bad in the passenger front side. The quote came back at over $500! I looked up the part online and found the wheel bearing assembly anywhere from $30 to $100, but Big O Tire had the part listed at over $300!!!!! I called them up and they came down very fast on the price of the part and the labor. The only thing I could think of is they were trying to take advantage of woman from out of town. Very dishonest and price gouging on parts.

All 4 hub cap plastic lug nut covers were not tightened and two hub caps fell off. I returned 3 times to discuss problem and it was acknowledged but not ordered.

Last week's visit was the 6th balance/rotation in a row that I've had at least one tire with pressure 8+ lbs off the recommended rating. Each mechanic explains the root cause in a different way. Also, for 2/6 balance/rotation visits I've been the last customer for over an hour before the store closes and I walk down to find my car not being worked on with mechanics sweeping, hosing off, etc. Lastly, I've been on two occassions after an hour of waiting for a balance/rotation that my car can't be serviced because a machine broken. In reality, I talked further with the manager and I we came to the conclusion that he was jist actually short staffed that day.

I asked the help to switch out our summer tires to winter, check our brakes, and change the oil. He seemed not much in the mood to deal with customers. When my wife picked up the car, they never changed the oil. This is the second time that this has happened. Big O is not the only game in town.

Worst experience ever! Ruined my entire day. I will never be back

Friends and family you never go to big or tire they said oil change and free rotation tire but then never rotation your tire you should know that Sometimes they don't even change your oil they very much ripped-you up One of the worst service in my life you better go to Walmart you can see through what the doing so if you accidentally go there you just markdown you were tired end of the service and you take a look otherwise you're wasting your money.

Quite dissatisfied with my experience- ordered tires in January that did not come in, was not notified. Was contacted in March (for snow tires) and then arbitrarily had my cc charged for the tires. Totally unacceptable and the proposed solution (storing the tires) is equally unacceptable. David Dugery 610-952-2335

I will tell you that I will never come back to Big O tires in Avon again. Peter Russell is completely dishonest. He charged me for a one time alignment without getting my approval - I thought it was covered under my tire protection plan. When he changed the alignment the invoice said - wheel alignment 6 months at $149. When I said I didn't want a 6 month alignment, I just wanted a one time, he said it would be the same price because I have a jaguar and a land rover -- supposable more expensive cars to align. All the other Big O tires in Colorado charge $89.99 - why does Peter in the Eagle Vail store charge $149. He is not straight forward. When I went in to get winter tires removed he should have told me there was a charge. He also told me in a voice mail that I have saved that my Jaguar was perfect and did not need an alignment, but when I asked for a report it was completely off and I am not taking my car elsewhere. Not only do I not recommend Big O tires because of Peter, I will go out of my way to make sure every friend I have in town is aware of the way they do business. Sadly, most people I tell seem to already have a bad story about the Big O tires and Peter.

Told them what was wrong, they "diagnosed" it and found "nothing" wrong. Got my car back with the exact same issue I came in with. It was a bulb on the headlight. Not the first time something like this has happened here.

Stupid people here. I brought my flat tire in and after waiting 2 hours they told me there was no nail or puncture... yup i just brought my car in and waited 2 hours cause i wasn't sure or not if it was flat... and no one bothered to ask me why i thought i was flat... They put my car back together Told me i was all set and there's no issue. Then i tell them i used fix a flat so to the back of line i go and they say it will be another 1-2 hours. Not only are they incompetent but their customer service sucks. When the garage and customer come to different conclusions, go talk to the customer before putting humpty dumpty back together and figure out why they're gave different conclusion. You should Just fire everyone and close the store. There's no point of even opening if you won't talk to your customer bevause clearly this shop has low opinion of there customers and must think they're retarded. Yup, i retired at 25 and drive a new jeep cause I'm stupid. You should let us watch over your mechanics shoulder not put is in waiting room. Heck Just give me the tools. I'll do it right the first time. Stupid corporate ppl. Wasted my day.

Easily the worst oil change experience I've ever had. I showed up at 6am, an hour before they opened, because this store is crazy busy due to snow tire season and they are first come first served with no appointments available. I was the 5th person in line and so expected my car to get done rather quickly. I dropped off my keys and waited in the waiting area. A couple hours went by and I was seeing some of the people that came before me start to leave so I figured I would be next. Another hour went by and I looked around to see if my car was being worked on or parked somewhere. I couldn't find it so I figured it was in the oil bay. Another hour went by and I asked about my car's ETA. Chris went to go check on it and in the meantime, Peter told me it was in the Oil bay now. When Chris came back, he confirmed. So i waited another hour or so and was getting antsy. Chris noticed and came over to me to tell me it would be another 30 minutes because they JUST started working on it. He said they hire temps this time of year and had some no-shows so someone just arrived to be able to start working on it and it would be another 30 minutes. It was done about 45 minutes later. That's 6.5+ hours I waited around being strung along and no one could be bothered to tell me "hey man, we're having a staffing issue and it might be a while" to where I could have taken an Uber home. Don't get me wrong, the guys were extremely nice and Chris was super apologetic whenever he talked to me but that doesn't excuse the lack of communication on their part if they knew something was up. I'm also disappointed to hear that "a temp" was working on my car. I don't come to Big-O-Tires to have a someone off the street work on my car because they are in a jam, that's what the $45 Oil change at Walmart is for. I came and paid double that because I believed I was going to get great service as I have in the past (haven't been to this shop in a year but thought i'd start bringing my new car back). I remember in the past they would hand you a little test kit with q-tips and all kinds of samples they took from your car during inspection and walk you through everything. This time I just got told it was done, a sticker was put on my window, and I was handed my keys. It just didn't feel worth the $75 and 6.5+ hours of waiting. Also, the sticker on the window says my next oil change is in 497,000 miles. I'm only at 48,000 so I'm not even sure how they got to "497" let alone the extra 0's. Finally, I drove my car off and started hearing noises I had never heard before coming from the tires. I came back to the shop and had Peter drive it a couple times. He couldn't really hear it till the second time and told me it's likely nothing. They didn't have a mechanic to spare to come take a listen but he told me to come back on Monday if the sound continued. During this conversation I also learned that my tires had been rotated for me as part of the service. No one mentioned tire rotation was included in an oil change and I had just had my tires rotated by Costco less than a week prior since that's where I bought them. So unfortunately I had to spend another 1 hour there between this conversation and waiting for my car to go back to the bay so someone could put the tires back to how they were so i didn't have double the wear on them. The bumping noise persisted the rest of the day and the next morning. I took it out on I-70 for a round-trip to summit county and it seems to have stopped so maybe there was just something stuck in there that got shaken out. I'm hoping that is the case and I don't have to come back. Overall I was extremely patient and calm with these guys knowing how busy the shop was and they were very nice and apologetic the whole time but I am still pretty upset over the amount of time I wasted sitting in the lobby when a simple heads up could have made all the difference. I was in the shop from 6am - 2pm when I could have done something productive with my day had

Item #3: I was offered a free alignment check. What do you mean? ... I was offered a free alignment??? NO ONE TOLD ME A FREE ALIGNMENT WAS AVAILABLE. This was the sorriest auto experience I've ever had. After the wait of two hours, I started to drive the vehicle home and had a shimmy in the van that was NEVER there before. I turned around and returned, and apparently they rebalanced the tires, although they didn't tell me that... I had to ask. Another hour +. Before I left, I asked what if there is still a shimmy in the van, because the way this outfit was run I questioned if they could do anything right. The man said if there is a shimmy to stop by in the morning or (he knew we were driving west), to stop at their sister store in Grand Junction. I knew there was still going to be a shimmy, because the one tire literally had 12 inches of one continuous run of lead around the rim... something I HAVE NEVER seen before. Of course there was a shimmy, we continued on to Grand Junction, waited there another two hours, they rebalanced the tires and the van FINALLY did not shimmy. THE AVON STORE YOU HAVE SUCKS AND I WANT SOMETHING FOR MY WASTED TIME, YOU GOT THAT YOU STUPID SHITS. I'm sending this to the corporate office and hopefully they will so something otherwise I am never using big o again.

After hitting a road hazard on I-70 we went into the Avon Big O tire dealer to get it repaired. The damaged tire was new and covered by a road hazard warranty. After selling us a very expensive replacement tire, the Big O manager was supposed to return the damaged tire the day after we left so that we could recover our claim. After hearing nothing for over a month, I called the Big O manager and was told that he would look it. After another month and several more phone calls with the same story, we contacted the tire manufacturer who was very helpful. It was finally determined that the Big O manager in Avon never returned our damaged tire. After prodding from the tire manufacturer the Big O manager finally turned in the tire and ultimately we received our warranty claim. This whole thing took 3 months and many many phone calls to finally resolve. A one-star rating is being generous.

Horrible experience. Showed up at 6:30am for 7am opening with 8 other possible victims in front of me. Needed four things serviced and willing to pick up vehicle at end of day. They called mid-day with two service items completed and said it was "done." My #1 service issue was new brake pads. Was told by Big-O, "shouldn't drive the vehicle anywhere outside of Eagle Vail" and told me to "come back two days later" or whenever because they don't take appointments. There were, "too many other vehicles" meaning oil changes and tire service were more important than my brakes. I had an emergency on my hands so called Integra (Gypsum) who understood my dilemma and stayed open to help me. Big-O Avon was a Big-Disappointment.

I usually use you guys a lot, have for years for personal and business vechicals, but last time I was in to get a plug in one of my tires, the guy behind the counter said he could take it right in and it would be "just a bit". Two and a half hours later, and many "hello? where's my car?" and avoiding me like the plague, it was finally ready. Yes, it was a busy day, but that's why I had checked, I could have left the car there and come back later. But NO communication or apologies. It was an absolutely ridiculous experience. I gave a death stare as I was handed back my keys and vowed never to be back.

Been putting an insane amount of miles on my truck recently 6,500 miles just this month noticed the front tires were a bit worn so before I drove back to arizona with the kids I figured I would just put a new set of tires on it. So I called Big O Tires in eagle vail colorado on Friday to order me a set I was told by the woman on the phone if I got there on Monday at 7am it would only take 30 mins to put them in which was perfect since I am on vacation. So I got up at 5:45am get the baby ready to roll and show up around 6:45am I walk in at 7am only to be told my tires are not there and won't be until tmrw all i need is the address of the moron who didn't order my tires so I can adopt them 30 puppies that keep him up all night so he can understand how precious peoples time and SLEEP are and never waste mine again!! #YouHadOneJob #Epicfail #BigOTiresEagleVailColorado

I called the store about getting tires installed, they said they could get me in and out in about a hour. When I got there 10 minutes later, I was then told that it'll be 3-4 hours. I don't have that much time to waste, so I make a appointment for the next day at 9 am. Get there at 9 am, and the store isn't open. 915 the store opens and there's no record of my appointment. I have nothing but negative experiences at this store and won't be returning.
