Big O Tires

Charged me for a repair kit that was not used. Charged me for a tire protection plan I did not need or request. Charged me for nitrogen that I did not request. Overall charged me an extra $40.00. Nobody told me car tire was installed and I could take it. I hope that the tire is a good one. Overall an experience that would cause me not to return.

Great service

Arrived around 8:15am and requested an oil change. The clerk immediately began trying to sell me up to 4 new tires. I was like go ahead and write up an estimate, but just want the oil change for today. He was nice about recommending places for me to have breakfast while the service was performed. I walked to a nearby restaurant and took my time to eat a leisurely breakfast. When I returned, over an hour later, my vehicle was still in the bay and one of the tires was off. Mind you there was only one other car at the business when I arrived earlier. Now there were people and cars waiting for service. As the clerks were busy with customers, I went straight to the mechanics and asked them why my tire was off the rim. I was told that a rotation was part of the oil change package--fine, but wasn't previously informed--and they were almost done.I then noticed I had a voicemail from the clerk advising me of numerous issues needed, totaling over $2,500...Not including the tires the clerk said needed replacing. I told them I was appalled at how long it took them to just do an oil change. Honestly, if it takes 2 hours to perform a basic service at the start of the day before they got busy, do they really think I'm going to trust them with anything else? As if! While I was there a woman came back to find that the nail had not been removed and her tire had not been repaired and she said her vehicle was the first and only one there that morning. She said they were charging her $25 because they could not find proof that she had purchased her tire there. Since they couldn't make this simple repair in a timely manner, she decided to leave and have someone more reliable and honest perform the work.

Couldn't believe how helpful the entire staff was, working until closing efficiently to get our problem solved. You can be sure, this team in Costa Mesa all take pride in their jobs, and energetically worked together, pitching in. Steve, John and gang: THanks

Got 4 new tires, balanced & brakes & pads.5 days later had a flat. Auto club put on the spare and we returned to Big O. Service Manager examined the flat and said that the tire had not been seated properly and he would have the tire replaced. While waiting for the replacement another employee said that he made sure that we wouldn't be charged were upon I replied that the tire was just 5 days old and that we were told that it wasn't seated properly. He said that there is usually a charge. Couple of days later found that the spare had been thrown into the wheel well, with the carpet thrown over plastic plant nursery sheets as well as an umbrella and the tire jack tossed under the carpet as well. Not happy at all.

I needed to get my tire repaired ASAP and they happily agreed to help me even though I didn’t have an appointment. The service was extremely quick as well

Worst costumer service EVER. And the labor was very poor as well.

Mgr Steve is always on top of things and is a nice guy. Staff does a great job.

I went in to Big O to have a flat tire repaired. After inspection I was informed that the tire was not repairable due to tire rot. All the tires were 5 years old with a decent amount of tread still on them but had varying degrees of tire rot going on. This was my first time I had ever heard about this. I lost my job due to covid-19 so replacing 4 tires was a big expense right now. "STEVE HASE" the store manager was empathetic with my situation and offered some solutions like 6 month financing and or a good alternative brand tire. Normally I am a fierce shopper and don't buy anything with out shopping around but Steve's professionalism and demeanor put me at ease so I told him to go ahead and do it. He said it was going to be a 2 hour wait because he had to go pick up the tires so I walked home and came back 2 hours later and the car was ready as promised. I went with Sumitomo tires and they are actually very good tires and the ride is quiet and smooth. I highly recommend this shop and will continue to use them specifically for all my automobile needs.

Steve is awesome. I have been to that location several times and he always takes care of what I need done in a timely way. The customer service is outstanding there.
