Microtel Inn & Suites by Wyndham Daphne/Mobile

The staff, both day and night, were pleasant and attentive. I enjoyed the stay as well as the cleanliness of the rooms. I will return.

I was so surprised for the price that it was as nice as it is. the dark mirrors on the room kind of freaked me out though.

*RUDE MANAGER ALERT* We traveled from Virginia to come to Mobile AL (staying in Daphne) for Mardi Gras. We chose this hotel because of the good reviews. We first came into our room to find a blood spot on the sheet. Called the front desk about it, one of the employees and a housekeeping associate came in and changed the bedding without any apology. A bit later, the first time we tried to go to the bathroom, the bathroom door doesn't latch. Next, the couch bed wouldn't unfold. Called the front desk again, the manager came up with pliers and rigged the couch bed. The bathroom door can't be fixed because it was installed incorrectly. (So much for privacy in the restroom) The manager was SO incredibly rude saying all his rooms were occupied tonight so he would refund our night but we'd have to leave. We explained that we have traveled way too far for this many problems in our first hour of being at the hotel. Mind you, the manager was rude only MINUTES after we had paid for our 2 nights in cash. He said he didn't care if we were unhappy because if we left he could fill our room with another guest with no problem. After having to complain and be rude back, he FINALLY agreed to give us a 20% discount but only for one night. COMPLETELY UNSATISFIED!!!!!!!!!! Oh and then my 9 year old daughter just found a dirty sock in the window nook. Grossssss!! Also wanted to let you know that we were considering staying another night in town tonight but we decided to check out today because there were two housekeepers cursing loudly (separate occasions) this morning within earshot of our small children. With knowing how rude the manager is, we knew complaining would not help. We are absolutely disappointed and displeased with our overall stay there. We are a part of a huge Mardi Gras Organization in Mobile, AL and come down for Mardi Gras every year. We decided to try this hotel and had several other organization members ask us to let them know how that hotel worked out for us and sadl
