Fairfield Inn, Hickory is not my favorite Fairfield Inn. I don't think it has to do with the brand as much as it is the franchise company that owns it. The hotel has had a facelift, but still feels a bit dingy. The staff are not very outgoing or friendly. I have experienced the staff and the property for over five years now. You may ask why I stay there if I'm not completely happy. I stay because I am loyal to Marriott, I get a corporate discount and loyalty rewards points. Believe me, if it were any worse I would stay elsewhere however, it is tolerable.
