Dreams - Waterlooville

As stated earlier, told one date in the store and given one weeks later once paid. Also asked to place order in store versus web so think twice about that moving forward. Then told reason for later date is that supply chain don’t recognise dates provided to store when looking up items. How scary is that! Be interesting to see what your auditors think of that

I was waiting in your store for over 30 minutes waiting to see a salesperson. The store was busy, probably due to your sale, and there was only 2 computer terminals available. I gave in and tried to order online but found that the website was problematical when trying to pay for the product, again I gave up. Went back to the store when it was not busy and was able to place my order without any difficulty.

My husband and I walk in the store and weren't greeted, we walked upstairs and one man was hoovering. We looked around and chose a bed we liked, he carried on hoovering, we went down stairs and saw another man and told him we chose the bed and asked about mattresses. We said we would like a firmer mattress than the one he suggested. He replied 'well they are more expensive' we told him that was fine! He then made another comment about money suggesting we couldn't afford a high end product. When challenged saying you can't put a price on a good night sleep - he said it's not his job to judge what we could afford... We therefore decided to just buy the bed and left without purchasing a mattress.

Salesman's (Colin) attitude was overfamiliar, and slightly condescending. I did not think he appeared very professional, however to be fair he did seem to have reasonable knowledge regarding your product range. I was not shown a range of mattresses with a 'firm' rating, only 2 pocket sprung. I was then persuaded to buy your bed cover and a 'free' mattress cover as part of a special deal 'just for me' - Actually the same deal which is offered to most customers reviewed on your website. The packaging stated the mattress cover was waterproof; when I queried whether this would be noisy / hot to use I was told no. I inspected this item at home and realised that I had been grossly misinformed regarding this, I returned the product to the store to exchange this and the salesman muttered under his breath that he "wished Colin would not keep telling customers that this was a quality product which was not noisy/hot". All in all sadly not a satisfactory experience.

Delivery not received on date agreed as per paperwork provided. Tried calling store multiple times, left message but no call back. Contacted via chat and was advised of a different delivery date. Advised to speak to the store - and that a message had been sent for them to call me. No call received - I again phoned the store and spoke with a colleague who subsequently had the salesperson call me back. Her explanation was basically that she should have contacted me to advise change of date - but didn't. Non response said to be due to a shop refit, but I had already learned from the first colleague that I spoke with that the email following the web chat had been received ... Apalling customer service ...

Staff took our money before telling us the true waiting time for products Told us 2 - 3 weeks ... but turned out to be 4 weeks ... Nearly asked for money back .... but was so fed up just wanted to leave the shop .. I will never return to Dreams ... ever ever .. and I will tell my friends and family not to go
