we were very pleased with the help Gary gave us while placing our order and as we are in our 70s he was considerate and offered a drink when he noticed i had a bad cough

We purchased a full bedroom set and were told that the wardrobe was a discontinued item so therefore we had to buy the showroom wardrobe but couldn't pick it up until 5 weeks later. They gave us a discount of (we thought) £200.00 and told us to choose some linen to the value of £100.00. The cost of this was added to the order therefore reducing the discount by the cost of the linen. We did not want or need this but the salesman made it sound like it was on top of the discount. (The linen was free). When we went to collect the wardrobe this week the rest of the furniture had been GREATLY reduced and we feel that this should have been pointed out to us before when we bought the items in the first place. The salesman must have known about the discontinued lines as he pointed out that the wardrobe was discontinued. We had to pay £39.99 to have the remaining items delivered and one of the bedside cabinets is faulty. We mentioned this to the salesman on picking up the wardrobe and he said 'Oh well, that's the way it goes'. If we had bought the furniture 6 months or so ago and this had happened it would not have been an issue. We where misled and would not recommend Dreams to anyone

Howard at Dreams in Gillingham tried to push product insurance on me, I had to tell him 3 times that I didn't want it, and even had to threaten to cancel my purchase if he kept on trying to sell me the insurance . He apologised and gave me a "free" mattress protector. He then produced the paper work for me to sign, there was no price breakdown on the document, only a total figure. When I got home, I found a price breakdown in the middle of all the paperwork and an insurance policy booklet, to my absolute disgust, Howard had sold me not 1, but 2 insurance policies!!!! And even had the audacity to charge me £10 for the "free" mattress protector. Obviously I phoned up your complaints department, they rung Howard at the store, and of course he said that he must have put them on there by accident! I was then reimbursed the money for the 3 miss sold items. I then asked how to put in an official complaint about Howard, and was told to go on the Dreams website, obviously you are supposed to guide me to the official ombudsman. I don't believe for 1 second that Howard did it by accident, he obviously gets commission on the insurance and no doubt sells it to lots of unsuspecting customers.
