Dreams - Gillingham

We were originally advised we could take delivery on 1 Feb but in the time it took to place the order that delivery slot was gone and we had to take a Saturday delivery which we had to pay for. We needed the bed to be delivered by Friday 2 Feb, which was why the Thursday delivery would have been perfect.

Emma the sales person stated that Dreams are the only company offering the 40 day trial but they are not, Bensons next door do it too! A date of delivery was arranged and amended in store at the time of purchase but the wrong date was texted to us a few days later, so we had to ring to correct this. We decided after comparing the prices in Bensons next door, as anyone sensible would do, to purchase a headboard of very good quality in a sale, that suited us well instead of the more expensive one in Dreams, but Emma was a bit abrupt stating it won't match the bed we bought, but that didn't matter as it was going to be covered by a valance anyway! Also a tempur bed was a £100 cheaper in Bensons but not the exact same model so I didn't think Dreams would price match it.

The day we visited store they were short staffed as there were only two sales advisors. The manager however was wandering around speaking to other customers whilst people waited along with myself. I understand the manager wanted to greet everyone but if he was to assist in putting through people’s sales then the waiting time would have been greatly reduced and there would have been more quality time for everyone to be served in a timely fashion.

The only reason we were not highly satisfied was that the show model had remote lift up but actually cost over £300.00 more if included. + we rarely tick the very top answer.

My visit to dreams was absolutely fine, staff were friendly and helpful. My only upset was the mattress I originally wanted to buy I'd have to wait a month for delivery so Howard showed me the next mattress down which was near enough the same just a little firmer and slightly less support. No one's fault just an annoyance. Other than that I still left happy!

Gary the store manager was extremely helpful and advised us on our selection.

The experience was successful in gaining what we wanted however kept being offered different products and I only wanted a mattress

We went in store knowing what we wanted to purchase so didn't really look around spoke to sales person to order item required.
