When the price of sunflower seeds doubled at my local feed store, I sought alternatives. Not only did I find quality seed, in the 20# No Mess Plus. It was about the same price as an 18# of straight sunflower chips from the Jax Ranch store. In addition, there was "other stuff" in the seed to give the birds a wider variety in their diet. There are other products I bought (& continue to buy). Then there are the squirrels...WBC sells several solutions. Greasing the shepherd's pole would be an ongoing process, so I went with the "slinky" that goes around the pole. Amazing...it works, so I'm saving $$ by not having the squirrels pounce on the hanging feeder & spilling all the contents for their "friends" buying No Mess + more than once a week!! I also get a sense of comradery & community. I get straight answers to my questions - we share stories too. SO...am I highly satisfied? You betcha!

Karen was very friendly and i am looking forward to going on the bird walk on 5/14 it will be my first bird walk. Thanks for having this on a weekend when its easier for me to go. Hoping to learn more about birds and how to keep squirels away from my feeder.
