Big O Tires

Helped saved me money was great. Orginally thought it was struts but was controller arm. But first alignment was done correctly, had to drive back 20 miles next day and wait 2 hrs to fix the alignment issue.

I sent a pre-owned vehicle from a dealer for a pre-purchase inspection at Big O Tires at 1422 W Main Street, Boise on Oct 22nd, 2024 @4pm. The vehicle had to be left overnight at Big O Tires as they couldn't complete the inspection on that day itself. The following morning on Oct 23rd, the salesperson from the dealership came to collect the car. However, Big O Tires' front desk person, Kourtney/Courtney, passed the hardcopy of the pre-purchase inspection report to the salesperson without asking my permission even though I was the one paying for the $30 inspection itself. She didn't email nor text me about the inspection report and just assumed that it is OK to pass the report to the salesperson without my knowledge. This led to the salesperson having the upper hand in dictating the course of my negotiation for the car and I am losing my bargaining power on the other hand. As such, I am extremely disappointed at the level of professionalism demonstrated by Big O Tires' employees in handling this matter. Kourtney/Courtney also sounded unhappy and insincere in offering her apology for her mistake, and simply used "miscommunication" as an excuse to this fiasco.

I received a coupon in the mail from Big O Tires, with one option being for $30 off a service for $100 or more (including alignment). Cost for my alignment was $99.95. The Big O associate would not honor the coupon saying something to the effect they could not take $30 off for a $100 service. After I pointed to the coupon several times, they agreed to take $10 off the cost. I left after realizing this person was just not going to honor the coupon no matter what I said. I've had good luck with this Big O store in the past, but this experience left a bad taste in my mouth. I do not anticipate going back anytime soon.

I was told that when I purchased my studded snow tires that they’d be replaced with my existing tires as a part of the service sine they were purchased there. Then I was charged $94 and the service person was curt.

I have come here often over the years for our cars being serviced. Generally like the friendliness and competence of the staff. I gave some lower satisfaction in this survey because something was not properly tightened and I now have several oil spots on my driveway. I did call them and they told me to come back and would fix right away. And they did. But I will need to scrub oil spots from my driveway as the weather improves here. Usually I have no complaints.

Alex Mohr scolded me for waiting to long to bring me car in for oil change, and he provided an inaccurate quote for future service. My car is a 3 cylinder and my quote included four coils to be replaced during a future run me up, even though there is no indication that the coils are failing. I have lost faith in the honesty of this location based on the very expensive quote for in necessary work as well as the scolding I received over the oil change ( my odometer had not reached the mileage limit for the current oil) My boyfriend found a quote for about $400.00 to do the tune up not including the coils and certainly not including the extra coil! I have been advised that it is not necessary to replace the coils, if they are not showing signs of failure. I have trusted Big O up until now…
