The food is very inconsistent. Some days I receive good portions of side salad and others I get a portion that does not even count as half of a side. The coffee some days is good and other days I get a coffee with 60% bubbles- have to change them. I had the reward of receiving a free croissant by ordering through the app for 60 days and on the 5th day it was already canceled.

The staff was overwhelmed with a Sunday crowd. There were a lot of tables that aren't cleaned. But this is also to compensate to serve the existing customers. So it's quite understandable, but also frustrating.

My food was giving to me before I paid, so it sat around getting cold before I had the chance to eat it. I wish I wasn’t rushed to get out of line.

Most of the food itself was pretty good, for example, several people reported really liking the croissants, including myself. However, I was not highly satisfied due to my experience with a La Madeleine staff member (or manager, I don't remember which they said they were). I called to ask about my concerning regard food items in my order containing allergens. It sounded like they were quite busy, however, the staff person was a bit rude, dismissive, and abruptly hung up the phone when my question was finally somewhat answered which I feel was a bit uncalled for. However, all the other staff members were quite polite, helpful, and accommodating.

The food I ordered were not hot and the salad was wilted. The taste was okay, yet would have been best if it was more hot.

We are regular customers at the Madeleine @ Old Town Alexandria, just 1 cashier at 5:37 pm 2/18/33 and the manager was trying very hard to do his best, but the employees they did not care about sped the service. . You either train them better or hire someone with a better sense of customer service.

I used my $5 Bon Appetit gift card credit but it was very confusing. The attendant was very nice and figured it out. Unfortunately the bran muffin that is my usual morning treat was unusually dry and hard. The finish on the counter at the window is sticky and this needs to be refinished.
