Columbus Crew Stadium

Rock on the Range was held at Mapfre Stadium (previously named Columbus Crew Stadium) this year. I had a seriously amazing time!! I had field tickets so I had access to everywhere except the VIP section. There were tens of thousands of people there with one common goal: enjoy great music and have a kickass time. I didn't see one person upset or not having a good time. The bands were CRAZY GOOD. On the downside: 1) it rained. Umbrellas were not banned so luckily I had one handy. I ended up only using it a few times though and it was fine! It didn't stop anyone from having a good time. 2) the drinks were expensive. $8 per beer and $10 per shot or mixed drink. The mixed drinks seemed super weak though, so they didn't seem worth the money. Expensive drinks can be expected at a place like that though. 3) Lines for the restroom got pretty long at times. Again, that can be expected. 4) Crowd surfing is "discouraged" but not banned. Simply put, there was TOO MUCH crowd surfing going on. It's hard to enjoy a concert when you have to constantly keep an eye out behind you to keep from getting crushed. I'm glad crowd surfing isn't banned, but it got out of hand. The cons definitely weren't enough to ever, ever keep me from going back. I would recommend ROTR to anyone who loves rock music! They had Judas Priest, Linkin Park, Volbeat, Hollywood Undead, Rise Against, Papa Roach, and many other amazing bands! Will definitely be back next year!

It's a great venue for Rock on the Range. It's easy to navigate and the staff are awesome!

This was the 5th year my son and I have attended Rock on the Range. This venue, staff, law enforcement and 1st Responders are always "world-class". Thank you all!!!
