Big O Tires

Was told that my jeep needs a steering gear box. Because it's loose. 20-30 years ago it would have been tightened up by turning a screw on the top of the box and locking said screw. Then the alignment would be adjusted. I guess the box is not adjustable? But when I ask around, I'm told they're still adjustable. Hmm. Please, if I'm wrong that's ok. But if not, please educate the employees how to accomplish this.
