One of the employees at this location stole property out of my car. I filed a police report, but unlikely anything will happen. The manager covered for the employees as well. Terrible place.

did not rotate tires or check pressure--light is on for pressure problem

By Devon | 9/6/2019
Came into the store around 4pm because I had a tire with a nail in it. Granted, I did not have an appointment, but I was told that I could not be helped that day. Went to a competitor's store, and they removed my tire and put on the spare, but told me I needed to take the tire back to Big O since it was a Big O tire. I brought the tire back, it was fixed the next day, but upon picking up the tire around 4pm, was told they could not put the tire back on the car, and so I returned to the competitor's store to have the tire put back on. Additionally, there was a charge for fixing the tire despite the fact that it was a 1 year old Big O brand tire under a 3 year warranty.

I was told the oil change would take 40 minutes. I was still waiting 1.5 hours later.

By Ali | 9/6/2019
I was there for almost two hours for a simple oil change and tire rotation which I hardly doubt they even rotated the tired. Because I marked the tires to see if they get rotated unfortunately they didn't. So I ended up paying for something that didnt even get done right!!!

Usually have good service here. Brought in for oil change and rotation. Left completed service with tire pressure light still on, with explanation that it could be from change in weather and should go off on its own. Drove for several minutes and light did not go off. In addition, vehicle now pulled severely right. Brought back and was told tire pressure in back tires was 23 PSI but had been corrected. Slight pull remained after rotating again, but could be due to radial pull, alignment, or just "slope of road." I asked if radial pull was a defect in tires, but was told "no, just something that happens in tires."

Went in for a tire repair and a free alignment monday 10/8/17....after getting home and inspecting my auto I noticed the alignment was not done. Called the store....manager, Jeff, said I could bring car back that day and the alignment would be done. I told him, Jeff, that I would just wait and come back in the next day. Tuesday morning 10/9/17 the tire that was repaired only had 11 pounds of air....glad I waited. Took car back to shop....tire was repaired, again, and the alignment completed. Was offered NOTHING in the way of compensation for my having to return.

Mr Warren, Yesterday 10/4/2017 i had the unfortunate fate of doing business with your office and especially Mike Antrobus. In the last 4 months, I have used your store to replace all 4 of my tires, with the last 2 (Driver side) on 8-18-2017 and to my surprised i purchased the Tire Protection Plan. Evidently I had picked up a screw in my tire and it went flat and I had it towed to your store. With the protection plan, the tire was replaced. HOWEVER, I have a problem with being charged $16.00 for Mount and Balance and $1.75 sales tax. Mike originally charge me for tire removal but I refused that charge. This is my idea of what the Tire Protection plan included. In the event of a tire of mine has a problem, its removed and its replace....pure and simple. Just like if you bought a radio from Best Buys and it quits working and u have a protection plan, they replace it ...pure and simple. The tire u put on my car.....was your tire...because of the Protection Plan...not my tire.....so u over charged me for mount and balance and sales tax. I put the charge on my American Express. I have contacted them to put a STOP PAYMENT on it until you rectify this over charge. Also Mike...has no personality for front desk. He speaks too low and softly and I had to ask him repeat him self several times. He became quite agitated when i started questioning him over the charges. Coming from management for 30 years where customers were top priority, Mike would be more suitable for repairing the autos or no customer service presence. Also a practice of mine is direct communications with regional managers of business i have difficulties with. Please provide your regional manager Name, cell and email. Rick Warner

I wanted an oil change and tire rotation and balance. Sam called me after the oil change and said my shocks were blown, and that he wanted to keep my car in the bay until I got there to show me the blown shocks. I informed him that I did not have the money for it and that I did not appreciate him trying to get me to pay extra money. I asked him to please finish the oil change and the tire rotation and balance and I would be there shortly to pick up. He said he wanted to "earn my trust" so he was going to leave my car in the bay to show me my blown shocks when I arrived. I had already told him I did not want that, but he was insistent and would not do as I asked. My husband went to pick up the car and told Sam again that we only wanted the oil change and the tire rotation. Sam insisted on showing him the uneven tread on the back tires and the rear of the car bouncing. He did NOT show the blown shocks as he said he would on the phone, and at this point the tires had still not been rotated. My husband said that I told Sam on the phone that I did not want the shocks, Sam told my husband that I was a "liar." Sam then proceeded to closely follow my husband out of the store in an intimidating and threatening manner and my husband had to tell him to back away from him. We left without getting the full services we requested. I was an NTB customer for several years and have never had an experience like this. Mike the manager told us that Sam was from the corporate office and apologized to my husband for the way Sam acted. Mike said he knew from our previous NTB visits that our shocks were NOT blown and that the uneven tread was from the previous car owner not rotating the tires properly. I will never visit this store again so long as Sam is working there. Please do not send him back from corporate. Everyone else that works there has been great to us and I would hate to have to go somewhere else.

Came in for an oil change and free tire rotation, I marked one of the tires to see if they got rotated. It did not get rotated. If you say you are going to do something please do it, I didn't complain at the time because it was free. Not coming back, can't trust your people to do what they say they are going to do.

alternator in my car went out. got a quote from big o weeks prior for new alternator. car broke down. got towed to big o. they tell me i need a whole new engine. quote me around 3800-5000. i get the car towed to another place. it was the alternator that was out, engine was fine. if i would have followed your recommendation i would have spent thousands of unnecessary dollars. big o was the only place i would ever take my car. don't think i will be back. makes me hope my car wasn't misdiagnosed in the past and paid more money to you guys than what was actually wrong. whole experience was a bummer.

I was disappointed that my tires did not get aligned. I was told that due to cupping of the tires which might be caused by the struts being defective or worn, they were not going to align the tires since it would be to no avail. I have had similar treatment a couple of times and am not pleased by it. The bill to repair the perhaps defective struts was over $500. Added to the recommended new tires the total cost of the repairs you wanted me to authorize was over $1000. Do you really think that I am just going to say "Oh, okay, just go ahead and fix everything'? I feel that you should have aligned the tires no matter the state of the struts, since I have an expensive contract for you to do that.

On 10/25/17, Big O Tires "Financing" had me finance $1705.03, even putting a lien on my truck, with the expectation that it would show up on my credit report. Note that I did NOT need to finance anything at all, as I had cash on hand. I was simply purchasing 4 brand new tires (Big O brand, too, mind you) and had part of a hard brake line replaced. Ultimately I was willing to pay the $379.15 total of finance CHARGES under the presumption that I was "paying for additional good credit", essentially. Well... Not one of the 18 on-time (automatically withdrawn) installments were reported to the credit bureau. I was mislead and taken advantage of.

Very disappointed in my experience at Big-O. I have been getting my oil changed for several years at your location. This past friday, I had an oil change and new windshield wipers put in. When driving my car for the first time again on Monday, I started hearing a loud screeching noise. Thinking it was something to do with my engine, I drove my car to the dealership to have it looked at. They had a technician look at it and noticed the sound I was hearing was because the engine splash shield was not correctly put back on the car and was scraping the ground. While pulling out of the dealership, the shield fell off completely. I drove back to Big-O and it was immediately put back on. However, I was extremely disappointed in the customer service I received. The associate who was helping me and put the request into the computer never apologized for the mistake or inconvenience. I spent almost two hours of my day between the dealership and the repair. I understand that mistakes happen, and would not be upset if I received an apology. I will not be returning or recommending Big-O any longer.

I went there for a oil changing and free tires rotation when i got my car i saw they teared my right rear tire two times and there is a sign of tools obrasion on my rim!!! I could not believe that and I cannot get back and talk with them because my grandmother passed away Right after that.

Was not given the cost for extra fees which was for over 30.00 for one tire. I knew there were some, but that should have been discussed. Also, they left hub cap loose and it came off somewhere. Went back to see if maybe they just forgot, they made no effort to consider paying for me a new hub cap.

It doesn't pay to have one of these guys call me. I've been talking to them all week. Jeff is who I spoke to the most. A friend of mine got fed up with how they were treating me & went over there himself to speak up for me. Apparrantly my mounts weren't as bad as they said. They just THOUGHT that was the problem. They apparently didn't do a compressor test before they took it out & replaced it. Then they said they sent my original one off before I could even know if it was bad. After having my car for four days they tell me there is a hole in my radiator. It didn't have a hole in it when I brought it in. They put a third motor mount in it without informing me of it & put spark plugs without telling me. I told them up front my financial situation. I had to use part of my rent & all of my grocery money just to cover first estimate. When they call me quoting over $700 they told me I could do in house financing. We set it up. I pay $50 a month. They needed to hold my title though. That's when friends & mechanics started getting involved telling me I have been scammed. I was told that you all can't go over a certain percentage than the first estimate & you went way over. Here is how I feel. I went in & told them my car shakes when I turn AC on. Only when I turn AC on. It got looked over by Barren Williams. He said it wasn't ac after all but two motor mounts. I told them I didn't understand that because it only shook when I turned on ac. They knew what they were talking about. I could pick car up in two hours. I call two hours later. Not ready. I call again, not ready. Several hours after that the head manager calls me. He is off work & out of town, but the shop called him to call me. First thing is says is he doesn't know what's going on but what was my first quote. First quote? How many was I supposed to have? He tells me they find a third cracked motor mount & replace it. My estimate goes to over $400 now. Yet the car still shook. Maybe it is the compressor. They apparently spend all day locating one. In Ohio. Overnight shipping. When shop signed for compressor they only signed for the paperwork. The compressor was lost in shipping. Hours later it was found & put on. Car still shakes. Total over $700 now. In process of all this they damaged my radiator. They made it to be I had a hole in it first. Ah no! So they repaired that. I wasn't going to pay $700 for work that didn't fix my car. Had them put old mounts back on. If they were broken as they said how did they put them on? I told them I wanted my old compressor back on. Was told they would charge me 200 to do that, BUT they couldn't because it was already sent off. Before even making sure the new one solved the problem or not? So, I picked my car up after five days in worse shape than when I dropped it off. Plus $370 poorer. I now don't have the money to repair it elsewhere. I am a sickly 54 year old woman who is heat intolerant. That's why I needed my ac working. I have no income. I live off my daughter who is on SSI. I drive my car about 50 miles a month. Up & down two streets. I have very low mileage on it to be an 06. I have not had any mechanical problems with this car till this. I just had oil change at Big O a couple of months ago. The mechanic was bragging about how well maintained my car was under the hood. How good everything looked. And now supposedly all this stuff is wrong? I'm only the second owner of this car & it was in very good shape except for the shaking when ac was on. My brother in law is a parts manager for Chrysler & also owns a PT. Big O asked me to ask him what would make my car shake. They were clueless. Another mechanic told me Big O didn't neutralize/stabilize the engine after they put new mounts in it. That's why it still shakes. I told Big O all this stuff & they just don't care. Why should I have to pay another mechanic to stabilize my motor because Big O didn't? The manager said he doesn't know about repairs. It was all over his head. I have be

I found myself out of town at a local er with a family member and had tire problems and this was close and gave me a good quote over the phone and i meeded tires for the 3 hour trip back with all the family in the car. The friendliness and quick service good knowledge of what was being perfomed was adiquet bit the price quotes given me were at best misleading. When i asked for the price i asked specifically if that was the price out the door not incuding the tax, i was asured it was. I wasent asked if i wanted the free alignment check i was told it was being preformed. When it came time to pay the bill there were 120+dollars tacked on to the bill above what I had expected. I asumed ther would be state and or local tax and maybe a disposal fee but the extra charges were labor and shop supplys.labor and shop supplys!?!thats what yo do is put tires on a car and what were the supplys air and valve stems? I payed and left angry not having time to argue and had to go back to the er. I will never go back to big O again ill to my local dealer ti have them rotate the tires. I feel i was taken advantage of.
