Big O Tires

Had to return vehicle for a second time because transmission fluid level was not correctly done on initial visit.

I forgot my appointment to have the tires I ordered mounted. Called about an hour late, they said no problem come on in. They put them on, laughed at my stupid jokes apologizing for forgetting my appointment. They checked for problems. Aligned my wheels, kept myself and my daughter safe. This was my fourth set of tires with them (different vehicles). They don't remember me, but they always treat me like I come in every day and spend a lot of money. The service is always the same. That's what I like. I could spend 10 bucks or 1000 and they'd treat me the same. GREAT SERVICE. NICE GUYS.

I asked that they check a tire light and use a razor blade to scrape off a window sticker. They charged me $20, this after I had explained that I just paid nearly $800 on my car and the repair place just didn't reset the yellow tire light back to normal. I felt and feel that $20 was excessive and that I was sort of taken advantage of. It must have taken all of 5 minutes.

Never would I think of a tire store to be my "go-to" mechanic for my 2006 Outback, but Mick and the crew are great.

You have the WRONG EMAIL ADDRESS ON FILE. I do not live in Idaho, nor do I personally know of anyone who lives in or near Boise, Idaho. I made an attempt to contact your store via email to rectify this situation, but apparently the email address or URL from which the initial email was sent from wasn't a valid email address since my last email response wasn't sent due to your email URL being broken. I'm not sure how you have obtained my email address or whether it was some typographical error on your part, or whether this is one of those fraudulent phishing attempts.

Mick at Big O has been my source for tires and repair to my vehicles since arriving in Boise in 1998. He and all his employees always treat me with honest and fair estimates. Work is always completed when promised.

Hello. I had some tires shipped to THeMain Street, Boise location from Tire Rack to put on my 1998 Toyota Tacoma this past Saturday. I like being able to drop the truck off and walk to my work. I went from worn-out aggressive mud tires to some smooth-riding road tires. After I picked the truck up Saturday, I noticed that the truck felt worse than it did before the new tires. I pulled over to see if their were any weights on the rims, and I didn't see any, so I called the store to find out if they had been balanced. I was assured that they had been. I was told that all the weights go on the inside of the rims. So I assumed there must be something going wrong with the truck itself. But, once I got on the highway and up to speed on the next day, the truck felt like it was coming apart. The faster I drove, the more it shook, which is a sign of out-of-balance tires, especially if it isn't that bad a low speeds. Goodyear Superior Tire on Glenwood is open on Sundays, so I took it in to have them double-check the balance on the tires. ONE WHEEL had a tiny gram weight on the inside, and the other weights had nothing. And the tire pressure was all over the map, from 37 psi up to 45 psi. That isn't safe. Cost me $43.51 to have them do the job they charged $80 me for, and now the ride feels great. I was going to have Big O do the struts and shocks on a 2005 Honda CRV that I have, but I cannot afford to have that sort of expensive work redone by another shop.

The guys worked hard to make sure that my car was fixed and safe. They went above and beyond what I expected from a "big chain" business! Thank you for all you hard work and truly caring for your customers.

I will never return to this store, Jordan helped me on may 21st 2018, I change two new tires and a high mileage oul change, he told me they check up and top up the fluids, but two days later I discovered they didn't, this could damage my car if I didn't discover it by my self, although the cost where high compared to other service providers in boise

It is really hard to know if the work being done is necessary or could wait for awhile. I felt like the feedback on both our cars was very detailed and honest. I was provided a number of options for how to address the issues. The issues I had with both of our cars were obviously addressed judging from the nice ride home. I have my childhood dream car appraised at $35,000 and then taken in for fluids and new tires and alignment . My perfect car won't start when they are done. Instead of asking me or making any right move, they ripped open several interior compartments, permanently damaging plastic clips costing me $335. They kept my car for seven hours, the entirety of that time was them grinding on the starter. They had accidentally unhooked the fuel pump. They blamed me cuz there are three wires going to the battery. The fuel pump is hot wired to the battery as a safety precaution, they told me it was wrongly wired.

I have been coming to the Main street location for quite awhile with several different vehicles and really appreciate their service and friendly attitude.

I called ahead to ask for a timeline. Was told by Louie that they were pretty caught up and it should only take 30-40 minutes. When I arrived Louie was very friendly and said he recognized my voice. We also have been long-time clients of Big O Tires at this location, as we have worked downtown for 30+ years. I dropped off my car with the spare tire on and said I would walk downtown for lunch and then be back. Louie took my cell number to let me know when it was done. I had lunch and actually stopped by a friend's office to say hello, as I had not heard from Big O. When I arrived back at Big O my car with the spare tire on was still sitting in the exact spot I left it an hour earlier. When I went inside I asked why my car was still sitting in the same location. No one seemed to know anything and Louie was nowhere to be found. Everyone proceeded to scurry around and then get the job done very much to my satisfaction, but NEVER offered an explanation or said they were sorry for my inconvenience. Like I said, we have been long-time customers at this Big O. I don't know if they are under new management, but the way I feel after this latest experience, I might give them another shot, but I would not recommend them to anyone.

With five cars (snow tires and all weather tires on each) we are used to purchasing and swapping out tires, seasonally. On this particular occasion our 16 year old son was heading up to Bogus Basin to ski and we wanted him to have snow tires on his Subaru before he hit the hill. We pulled in to the tire store at 8 am and within an hour he was on the road with studded snow tires. The price was reasonable and the service was excellent. Thank you.

We had a tire blowout on the way to Boise. The next day we went into Big O Tire on Main Street to get some new tires. The Manager, Louie, was so nice. He helped my mom choose the best tires for her vehicle since we were from out of town. The whole team there were very nice and professional! Thank you!

I have been going to my local Big O since 2001. On this occasion I had a family emergency and needed to get my snow tires changed out and an oil change prior to a 12 hour drive. I arrived just before opening on 4/28/15 and explained the situation. They put a "rush" on it and in 25 minutes all the work was completed and I was on my way. Not only great service but compassionate towards the needs of their customers. I'm a customer for life!
