My service was a standard 5k mi. interval 5-tire rotation. Shortly after departing the store after rotation done---following a 3 hour wait, I was at Albertsons just so happened to decide to walk around my vehicle to scan the tires. Discovered the rear passenger tire hubcap was installed crooked and about to fall off--fortunately it didn't. I returned to the tire store. Service tech had to lift vehicle, remove lugs nuts, and reinstall hub cap correctly. I also asked requested the spare checked for right pressure, which is was not. That got fixed too. And there was messy grease on my steering wheel and front down handles. Disappointing service, but the rotation job got done.

I can always count on Big O to provide excellent service whether it is an emergency or a planned maintenance.

The employees were friendly and polite, like always, however I was told the wait time would be about 1 1/2 hours. They were short one employee so when I dropped of my car I was told the wait time would be more like 3 hours. I was fine with that. After 5 1/2 hours I hadn't heard anything and called. It was done after 6 hours. I understand things happen but a phone call to say it would be longer would have been nice. Also, when I got my car back there was oil mudges all over the passenger side seat of my car. I was appalled. When I opened my glove box to get something to clean it, the items in my glove box had been shoved and wrinkled as if someone rummaged through my stuff then very disrespectfully crammed it all back in there. I assume they were looking for the speical tool needed to remove my tires, however, again, a phone call would have been more appropriate. My center console had been gone through as well as my trunk. Nothing put back how it was found or even put back in a respectful manner. I've always received good service from this Big O tire but was appalled by how disrespectfully they treated my car and my things. To put it bluntly, they trashed my car.

Prompt, friendly and a thorough job done! Need I say more?

Mick, we kind of went over my issues when I came back to your shop with damaged center cap. Your customer service was outstanding (Estimate could have gotten to me a little sooner then 5 pm. Busy or not.) It was the other associates, odd glancs, cold impersonal interactions. I over heard one blaming the customer for increases of price over quote. "Well we have no idea if you're actually going to buy the tires.(If they took the persons info at time of quote and followed up with them. He would know. It should be common practice with any sales person to create & establish a data base of potential clients and vehicle info for associate to periodically go through and re-connect during slow sales times. A personalized phone call to greet and inform client about specials and promotions pertinent to their vehicles, old fashioned as it maybe, builds buisness relationships and generates $$$.) We're not going to order the tires only to have them sit on the shelves. (Not a concern for paying customer) That was just little that I over heard. Small sales/service trainings where you could share your exceptional talent for personalized customer sales, service and support could be a skill all your people would take with them the rest of their careers. Friendly eye contact, genuine smiles, knowledgeable, informative communication benefits everyone who have selected your establishment for their services. Thanks again Mick and see you all again. John

Big O has always done me right. Great attention to detail and very affordable.

I went in for an alignment just a few weeks ago because I had replaced the tie rod. I was told that my truck lacked alignment pins and that some other shops wouldn't do an alignment because of it. Big O did my alignment anyway and only charged me $80 (or so). Then just last week, my tie rod broke again. I replaced again and took back to Big O for an alignment. I was told that that I installed the tie rod incorrectly that the nut was loose. Tightening the nut wasn't offered as an option. I told that the tie rod had to be replaced, a ball joint and the alignment pins added. The labor estimate was so inflated that the total was over $800. I am not likely to ever go back to Big O for auto repairs.

Last month I had to have major work on my 'new to me car'...thousands of dollars worth. For THE first time in my life, I was so happy and excited with the results, that I did not flinch one tiny bit in paying the bill.In fact...I was so pleased with how the Jeep worked, I jumped at the chance to buy a new set of BigFoot tires for this vehicle (like I had on my previous Jeep). The people at Big O in downtown Boise have done right by my family for years...and they are really knowledgable, stand by there work...and have taught me the difference between rack and pinion steering and a gear box. There you've got it.

Store put the tires on with white wall outside, didn't even ask if I wanted it that way, now another $50 to swap them inside

I gave up years ago shopping for the "best deal" on auto service. Mick and his team have always treated me fairly over the last 20 years they have serviced my cars.

New tires and was told need new roters and brakes for front. Got second opinion, roters fine just need new break pads. $419. vs $ 160.

Fixed my flat in 15 minutes within 20 minutes of closing. I am very appreciative of their great service.

I am not sure if this store does not take appointments but both times I have made appointments at the store the fact that I have made an appointment has not seemed to matter at all. It has taken much longer that I expected/was told it would take for my car to be finished which is frustrating because I am usually walking around downtown with my young children while I wait. And one time I got back after four hours away from my car and was told they didn't have the right tires so I had to bring my car back in the next day (that time they did finish in a timely manner though). Anyway, better communication about how long things will take would be very helpful!

Every time I go there, someone goes above and beyond with a question or some other issue that I have and they do a great job with the scheduled service as well.I particularly appreciate the front desk guys' efforts to communicate what's going on, if they need something (BEFORE they do it) and how much it's going to be.Also that they are always timely with completion and it's ready when I come to pick it up.

Had the wrong tires put on my car. When I asked I was told by a busy employee that they were the same. Thank God for smartphones. I did some research, returned and was told that indeed they were the wrong tires. I had to return the following day to get the tires replaced. The manager was nice and provided a free oil change. But the service at the Main Street Big O needs some serious fixing along with the cleanliness of the facility.

I have been a customer at the Boise Big O for several years. In the past, I have sent e-mails to Big O Corporate letting them know that, if they ever do training videos, this is the store they should use as an example.

Received an oil change and tire rotation. Got to my car to find the doors were left unlocked and the lights had been left on (all day), so my car was dead. Was jumped quickly, and I was on my way, but doesn't exactly give me much confidence to leave my car with you again.

I've been going to Big O for over 25 years, and I have never been dissatisfied.

There are tire stores, and there are tire stores. This is MY tire store.
