I have had to go back multiple times for this most recent set of tires and each time I go back to have something done, it requires a follow up visit to have it done right.

Two days after Big O in Montrose, Colorado put the snow tires on my car, I was driving to Denver for a next-morning flight to India. After coming down from Monarch Pass, the left rear wheel came off. All of the lug nuts were gone. This could have been much more serious -- even fatal. Eventually, the car was towed to repair facility in Buena Vista. My son drove over from Denver to pick me up in Buena Vista in order to catch my next-morning flight. While I was in India, the repair facility in Buena Vista fixed my car. Upon my return to Big O in Montrose, the general manager of the store acknowledged that it was the fault of Big O not completing the tightening procedure on the left rear wheel, and ordered the service personnel to check ALL the wheels. I presented the invoices for the tow, the repairs, and gas for my son's truck. Since then, I have heard nothing from Big O in Montrose. I intend to go to Big O today and inquire about the progress of my case.

I had a very bad experience today. I have used this location in the past and was very satisfied-completely different atmosphere this time. New management? I had Mesa brand tires for 4 years, only 4000 miles on them, with dry rot, on a vehicle stored inside. Was told they would replace all 4 tires FREE. Then charged $181.00 to change them out! FREE? Ridiculous! One of my special pressure reading tire caps I came in with was missing when I examined the new tires. I asked for it back. Got an argument instead saying that it was missing when I came in-LIE- I had checked before walking in their door to make sure all caps were in place. How dare they out and out lie to a customer? Finally they found the missing cap and made no apologies. They then noticed that they had failed to pay attention to the front and back differing tire pressures and had one front and back tire reversed! They then supposedly checked and corrected all of them according to the recommended pressures on my driver's door label(class B van with extra weight on back wheels. 85 lbs.) On the way home I had a hard time keeping the van on road going 55 mph and above. Managed to make it to the next town and stopped at first tire store. They checked pressures. Instead of 55 lbs on both fronts, left was 67 and right was 62 lbs! Backs were close to being right. Thanks to a friendly and competent tire company I was helped for free and was able to continue on home safely. They will get my business from now on.I know my vehicle well and how important it is to maintain accurate and safe tire pressures to avoid handling problems. If I have any other concerns with the tires put on today by the Big O tire company in Montrose I will be contacting my attorney. Stay away from this place. They are not only incompetent they are very poorly managed.

I found myself needing 2 rear tires for my pickup. Jesus, on the phone, insists that not only do all 4 have to be the same size but also the SAME BRAND. And tho they don't have 2 of my brand in stock, they can sell me 4 new ones of the same brand. I appreciate people try to up-sell, but dont appeciate having some kid try to B.S. me. Sorry, but I'm heading over to Standard Tire and Service.

My wife was told, buy your guys, that she needs new ball joints on her honda. We took the car to a front end specialist shop and they said her ball joints were fine. A while ago I took my truck in to adjust my emergency brake cable,. I was told I need to emergency brake pads. I had just put on new pads the day before and just didn't get the cable adjusted right. I was told another time that I needed brake pads on the front end of my truck. I bought new brake pads and went to install them to find out my pads were just fine. If your guys are getting a commission for selling these jobs, it should stop. Really thinking of doing business somewhere else do to this . I have bought all my tires for our 3 vehicles in the past. You probably wont use my response for advertising. Rich Bailey

I purchased tires from big O and have not had problems with the store in Delta but I had a tire leak and went to the Montrose store- big mistake. I asked for them to rotate my tires and fix the leak. The tires weren't rotated and they didn't check the tire pressure so I had to go back the same day. The tire continued to leak so I went back a couple days later and again they claimed to have repaired it. My tire pressure indicator light was on within ten minutes of leaving the shop and was down to ten pounds by the time I got home. So I took my vehicle back a fourth time for the same tire leak. They've lost my business for good. I expect better service from a shop that specializes in tires.

All they tried to do was sell me a new tires, would not solve my issues while I was on an emergency trip to see my 90yr old father in the hospital. But today now that I am back home and can get the car into my shop, I will fix in on my own.

This is the worst experience I have ever had at any auto shop. I arrive at 1115am and was told I would be out with the hour. At 2pm, I was still waiting as they had to call another store and was sent the wrong tire then they had to go pick up the right one. Keep in mind no one said a word to me about anything. I had to ask the man at the desk, how much longer it would be and he told me they sent the wrong tire and he had to go get it. While all this was going on I have several errands that I needed to run and I needed to be at work at 3pm. It isn't possible to make it to work in time now. This has been a huge inconvenience. I will make sure that I tell everyone to stay away from this company. They are horrible. They then tried to charge me more money without telling me because they made a mistake! Mark at the desk was a complete asshole.

Fast but horrible service. I had an oil change and my tires changed out for the season but when I and left I noticed what a disaster it was. I had a huge oil glob left in my car, the door handle was covered in oil, my tires had elongated puncture marks in them and part of my hubcap was broken off and put in a different tires hubcap. After driving the four blocks and noticing this, I went back. I inquired about each portion of what I just mentioned and they told em everything was fine and normal and that my tires were 100% good to drive on and they didn't have anything to do with the damage. Additionally, they didn't even tell me that I needed the boot on my car replaced and had gone out a while ago. I gave them the chance to fix it and they did nothing. I took my car to two other shops in town that confirmed the tire damage was due to the machine they used to put my tires on with and that they were NOT safe to drive on. I called and informed the shop of what had happened and expressed my dissatisfaction with the situation. At first it looked like they were addressing it and working through what happened but that has since fallen off. I have tried to be understanding and to allow them to make the situation right but they are doing an awful job. Not only did I have bad service, they wouldn't fix their mistake or acknowledge it and they guaranteed me that they were safe to drive with. This puts my safety at risk on these winter roads! Also, now the general manager won't call me back to talk about the situation after he asked me to email him the information. Awful!! Don't go here!

Arrived at 7 a.m. Waited two hours before a technician arrived only to take my car back and tell me I needed something else done. These people are all about money. Save yourself the aggravation and just go to the dealership. At least your car will be fixed the first time and you won't be throwing away money. I paid these people money to basically sit in their waiting room and get nothing solved with my car!! Never again...

Ruined put our spare on which matches all three other tires. Tried to by a spare. They did not have same brand. And would not sell me a tire for spare which they had because the other salesman all ready told me because it didn't match our tires. I told him it was a spare, like a donut Tire to get to a town to get a proper Tire. He said it was against company policy. Big O is Big zero. Big failure. Drove down the street and got fixed up immediately. They matched us with different brand same circumference for spare and we are gone. Now going to write them a great review

I have been a loyal customer for more years than I can remember. As you know I recently purchased a new set of snow tires for my truck. Immediately after picking up my truck I noticed a vibration. I took the truck back to see if I had lost a weight or something. They returned the truck to me and I still have a vibration. I live in Montrose and work in Telluride as I'm sure many of your customers do. I spend about 3 hours a day in my truck and really don't have a lot of spare time. I have been doing business with Gary for many years and always look forward to seeing him and so I make these comments with no intent or reflection on him. Please feel free to contact me. I have perfectly legal tires on my vehicle which I wanted rotated. The guy I spoke to told me although the tires were legal they would not rotate them because they were "just legal". The funny thing is I was told the same thing about my other vehicle the weekend prior. And the employees there always find something else I "need done" to my vehicles. I'm done going to your shop. I will take my business elsewhere from now on.
