Originally I was towed to Big O for one reason, a new set of tires. While mounting the new tires it was noted that there were other repairs needed before driving the vehicle much further. I bought the tires at the Mason location and was referred to the Timberline location for all other necessary repairs. This repair trip certainly was not in my budget, it being the second of January and all plus I'm a widow with a small child and a fixed income so ANY event like this is a whopper but immediately following a birthday AND Christmas was a killer! The tires, though a great price, had tapped out my reserves. Needless to say, I walked into the Timberline location with my defense on high and a pretty bummed out and negative attitude. After 15 short minutes I got it ... the nasty news... the dreaded quote. "$1100.00 bucks to get it fixed and out the door," he said with a smile. I know my face went white and I just waited to have the stroke right then and there... After a quick gasp and a few choice words i spat under my breath I finally managed to say (louder than I would have liked), " Absolutely no way, you... lessen that...No more than $650, can't, that's my maximum offer". Cory, the man standing there, the one who had just dropped the bomb could have blown me off even treated me like the lunatic woman that I sounded like, but he didn't. He obviously could see my frustration or he was just humoring me,whatever the case he kindly took me over to his computer and said let me see what I can work out here. His fingers were flying around those keys stopping only to click on something and then they were right back at it. I'm not sure what coupons, better priced parts or hand outs he found for me or where he found them but when his fingers stopped the grand total was $611 out the door but they would have to keep it over night. I nearly jumped on the desk to do a little dance! Thank the Lord and cory"s fingers ( and heart ) for finding that deal! "Please do! and I'll check back with you tomorrow!" and out the door I went. The next morning I woke to:THE CALL... the one we all dread... "yes ma'am after looking further we found this and that you need to replace..." you know, THAT CALL. Unfortunately these repairs weren't the kind I could just say, "not today thanks" they were things like tie rods, IDLER arms and hoses and fluids and such. I asked him to work his magic while I tried to work mine and get a loan from family and i'd get back to him with the answer. Within twenty minutes or so I had begged a loan from grandpa and was calling to give the go ahead. Instead of hearing the chipper, "ok, we'll do" I hear this pause... you know the one. The pause that never ends nicely, the one that usually packs a mean punch. ---" sorry to have to tell you but..." Within those few short minutes more problems showing their nasty faces... serpentine belt and shocks! Not just worn - replace when you can, but busted in half must replace..There was an upside though, it was only the front shocks that had to be done now ... it was suggested that the back shocks should follow just as soon as I rob that bank! ;) So there is a bright side to every story I guess. Hearing that made me smile but what really got me cheeky, and I mean like bozo the clown cheeky was what cory's coupon clipping, bargain finding, fantastic phalanges and their bottom line quote came in at. He announced that with all parts, labor, services needed, flushes, oil change, you name it my old van would get it, i'd be out the door for under ...Drum Roll Please...$1400 bucks! Ouch, right? Remember though the first quote was $1100 and there had been quite a few major things added to what had to be done since then. We're talking power steering pump replacement, flush, hoses, oil change, idler arms, tire alignment, serpentine belt, front shocks, tie rod issues fixed, brakes and all checked out for safety etc. plus labor, (which is intense on the Astro! you've gotta take everything out to do anything to

Corey and Alex were great today! They knew that I was in a hurry, so they were very quick to help me. They were very patient with me, I was stressed and don't know much about cars. Ultimately they didn't have the tire that I needed, but I felt so taken care of that I didn't care. Thanks guy!

When I made my apt for the rotation, I had the option to include a comment for additional services (AC check). The tech did not see the comment, therefor they were not able to complete the request and suggested we made a separate apt. Website should allow for additional services rather than just one.

I've visited this store several times. The first time I was in a panic because my tire was going flat and this was the closest tire store to my house in Rigden Farm. I have severe "car anxiety" and truly freak out when anything automotive goes wrong. The customer service at this store is beyond amazing! They fixed my flat in minutes and didn't charge me. I have since gone back with my daughter's car and recently my car for an oil change and tire rotation. I can't recommend this store enough - thanks especially to Mike who always has a smile and a soothing explanation of what is wrong and how they WILL be able to help me. Their customer lounge is very clean and relaxing and most of all, they keep you updated on the time. Thanks again!
