The questions don't reflect the issues that go on at this location. When you walk in no one greets you, even if there are 3 employees manning each of the registers. Then when someone finally acknowledges you (this is every time by the way) they look up as if the customer is a burden and says in a dismissive way "we'll be right with you"). The lack of clarity with the 3 registers being on 3 different walls is a poor and confusing design. Those metal bridges make a fortress around the registers that make it more uninviting. As you as are the only show in the downtown area I see that there is no lack of customers and regardless of how long you make people wait (6 hours after drop off for an oil change, many times) you will still be busy. I suggest buying one of the pick a number dispensers and having a computerized "now serving customer number #" red lights. The person who helped me on the last trip was very nice. His name is Mike. Other than that, no good. Convenience will always be king though. You've got a good location, thank your lucky stars.

I would like to see if we can get a little quicker time on a oil change tire rotation,it has been taking an 1 hour and a half to get that done for people with apointments,I feel thats too long of a wait.it should take that long but other than that, the service is great.

All I can guess is that the business has come into new ownership. Big O Benicia used to be a fairly reliable place to bring a car. Not any more. In the past 5 times myself or family members have brought a vehicle in, they have either tried to up-sell me or my wife a brake job we didn't need (still 1/4" pad left in both cases, over half the life), they have neglected to tighten or properly reinstall under-engine access panel bolts (resulting in the cover coming loose on the freeway), and supposedly "fixing" the problem by using a plastic zip-tie to hold the metal panel in place instead of replacing the now missing bolts; for tires that wore out well ahead of the warranty, they denied any responsibility for honoring the warranty and only offered $100 off on a new set of tires (basically the sale price, where they're still making bank!) and the list goes on. Family friend had the tires on his vehicle rotated at the Big O in Benicia, and they somehow forgot to tighten the lugs. Wow, really??? Halfway across the bridge he had to stop to see why the vehicle was shaking so badly. Lucky not to have had one come completely off. Maybe if you have a future ex-wife who's car needs work, take it to them to save some alimony payments but if you have loved ones with automotive work needed recommend finding a reputable mechanic.

To be quite frank, my first experience was wonderful. I came back in October 2016 for service prior to moving out of state and driving 850 miles. I made an appointment for an oil change and to have my wiper blades changed. I was scheduled to depart the next day. The night after getting my car back the change oil light came on. I was forced to post-pone my departure so that I could go to Oil Changers (I have always had a good experience with them) and have my oil changed before leaving. Then, this weekend I drove from my new home in Tucson Arizona to Sedona. There was a considerable downpour. I was driving on the freeway when I turned on all of my wiper blades. There was a horrible screeching sound coming from somewhere and it turned out to be the rear-window wiper blade. On my next stop I inspected the wiper blade and discovered that the technician had removed the blade but had not replaced it. You store ended up wasting my time, postponing my move and now, this morning I have to hunt down a wiper blade. This is just downright negligent.

Nathan was very helpful on the phone. Tires were ordered in the morning and he called as soon as they arrived. I could have waited for the work to be done but chose to leave the car and wait for a call back. All in all process was smooth. They do get busy and sometimes customers are not as patient as they should be. Miss the old team but new guys are doing pretty good.

When I first called in, I was quoted two different options. I had decided to go with the cheaper option, but when I arrived at the store I was told the cheaper option wouldn't work with my car because it was too heavy. This left no other choice but to go with the more expensive tire which I was not prepared to pay that cost.I tried to negotiate the more expensive cost, but was told that the number I was quoted was already impossibly low. The sales manager spent 15 minutes tracking down who gave me that quote over the phone. This left me obligated to purchase the more expensive tire which I was not happy about. A week after I got the care home, the low tire pressure light came on, so I paid extra for poor quality service.

I was there last week. Drove in about 4 pm with a spare tire and the flat in the trunk. It was told by six pm they would fix the tire and will call me for a pick up. By 5 pm I had received a call that it was ready. Great service!

We brought our car in for a simple oil change. After getting the car home it leaked oil significantly on our driveway - it was not leaking prior to the oil change. The leak was more than just incidental spillage so I brought the car back in. The person I spoke to was very responsive and professional and immediately said it was probably a bad filter gasket. The car was examined and it was a bad filter and the problem was fixed. My concern is this: The employee knew immediately what the problem was and indicated that this was somewhat of a recurring issue - if so, what kind of parts are you using and if they are known to be defective why are you continuing to use them? Also, why wasn't this detected at the time the work was performed? This wasn't a small drip and should have been noticed when the work was done. Lastly, my wife initially took the car in for the oil change and was told that the shop was very busy and suggested she make an appointment and bring the car back. Understandable, so she made an appointment for another day. She brought the car at the scheduled time and told the staff she had an appointment yet it was if she didn't have an appointment and it took well over an hour before the work was even started. So much for your appointment system.

I am writing today since your location is closed but we are having major issues with our car since we brought it in last Saturday. We brought it in on 5/11 around 7:40 am for a oil change and tire rotation. Mo called me back to let me know that the arms needed to be changed on both the right and left sides. We decided to go forward and get them fixed. Picked up the car around 6:45pm on 5/11. Over last week the car has been making metal on metal loud noises. As well as the car shakes when you go on the freeway 75 MPH+ and the tire indicator light is on. Called in on Thursday 5/16 around 7:40 am and spoke to the manger regarding what was going on and he said to bring it in for them to take a look at it. Brought it back in on Saturday 5/18 around 8:00 am, was called to pick up car at 10:37 saying vehicle is ready. Picked up the car and was told that they re balanced the front tires. This morning around 9;:10 am i was in my garage putting it a load of laundry and my husband was leaving with our son in the car and i heard this HUGE loud noise. IT was the car making the sound again. I need someone to call me immediately regarding what is going to be done to fix our vehicle. Nothing like this was happening prior to bringing the car in to you guys. Its already bad enough when we have to bring it in a second time since the job was not done correctly but to have the issue still happen after the fact is ridiculous. This is our family car and we have 2 young children. I don't feel safe using this car now. We paid over $1200 to get it fixed and now we are dealing with issues we never had before.

I've been a Big O customer for 15+ years! I have never been treated the way I was on Tuesday, before in my life! It was the worst experience I've had at this Big O! I'm still waiting for corporate to call back! Going on four days now, no response!

I recently went in for an oil change, but was in desperate need of new tires since I had 70000+ miles on mine and was starting to spin. I loved my Michelin's and they had them in stock, had the lowest price and got them installed that day. With a $75 rebate to boot.

First time customer and I was very pleased with the experience. The staff was attentive, knowledgeable about the tires I wanted and recommended additional services. Price quoted was less then I expected and the estimate for cost and time necessary to complete the job was accurate. Five+ stars to all your staff who were coping with Internet and phone service malfunctions in a positive way. Their behavior mirrored a commitment to serving every customer during trying circumstances.
