I have lived in Benicia 14 years and have taken many of my cars to Big O for service over the years. Ive always been impressed with the service. That's why I came back. This time it was very different. I brought my car in for a routine oil change. The person helping me did not seem too enthused, either about his job or helping me. He mumbled while talking to me and I had to ask him to repeat his question more than once. I stood there unsure of whether I was done and could leave my car for service because he worked on the computer inputting information, but wasn't informing me of what i should do. I had to ask if that was all he needed from me as he continued to work on the computer while I was standing there. He then said yes, I could leave and that it would be 2 1/2 hours. I said I would walk the dog and be back. I dropped the car off at 7am, so 9:30am would be pick up time. Id like to note that when a guy came in right after me with a company truck, this person helping me perked up and was so professional and accommodating and talked with the guy about getting the rest of his company trucks in for service. I felt at that point he was very capable of good customer service, but chose who he would provide it to. By 10:30am, I had not received a call, so I called. They said it hadnt been worked on yet. I told the person on the phone that I was told it would be ready at 9:30 and that I purposely came in at 7am, so I I could make a 10am appt, which I was late for. He said it would be ready around 11:30. It took 4 1/2 hours for an oil change when I was one of the first ones in that morning and the person who first helped me did not make me feel like i would want to come back. Note: The second person that helped me was very professional.

As a long time customer of Big O Benicia, I was very disappointed with the service provided this time around. I came in for a simple headlight and brake light change. I was told it would take 1 - 1.5 hours. I chose to leave and told them to call me when it was completed. 2 hours later, an employee called to let me know that they estimate fee would be greater due to the amount of time it would take to replace the headlight. The employee told me that the car would be ready in 30 minutes. Upon my arrival to pick up the car, it was discovered that only the brake light had been replaced and not the headlight. All staff members I spoke with were confused as to how this happened. I was asked to return another day to replace the light and told that they would charge me a lesser fee for the labor. I agreed to do so. 2 days later I returned and left the vehicle for another 2 hours so they could replace the headlight. I asked if I could get shuttled to a local coffee shop. The shuttle was 20 - 30 mins out so I chose to walk to the coffee shop. I asked them if the shuttle could pick me up once the work was completed. The employee assured me that they would. I received a call saying that my car was ready. I asked if the shuttle could come get me. The employee said that it would be there in 20 mins. I waited 40 mins. No shuttle. I walked back to Big O. Upon getting there, an employee who finished up my paper work told me the shuttle had stopped service 30 mins prior. My thought is that the overall communication in the business is extremely poor. After being a extremely satisfied customer for 4 years, I have decided to look elsewhere to service my car.

It took more than 2 hours just to replace 2 tires. With appointment. Others do it about 30 minutes or less.

Everyone demonstrates a true concern to get things done right. I have never felt that they might be adding on extra work that might not be necessary

I came in with a tire that needed to be replaced/repaired at 9AM.I saw that they were busy, so knew I wouldn't wait.I never got a call.I finally called at 3:30, when I was told the tire needed to be replaced.Well...why didn't someone call me hours earlier. The man I was talking to said they tried to call...no calls were placed. When I picked my car up at 6PM (again...never got a call that it was done- I just showed up), the attendant couldn't find the paperwork for 15 minutes (he was courteous).Lastly, my car was left in turned on and in drive with the emergency brake on as the inside attendant was trying to find the car keys.I found them in the car.

Received a decent price on tires after incorrect tire code was corrected. Parking could be better.

Called in for an oil change to see how long it would be.Person answering phone said it would take an hour to an hour and a half so come on in.Took 4 hrs for an oil change.Seems customer service has been diminishing the last few times I've been in.

Excellent service by all the staff. Got my Jeep lifted and it went smoothly. I was also made aware of anything extra that needed to be done. Also, the staff works in a timely manner and are friendly. I definitely will be going back to Big O tires in Benicia and recommend them to all my friends!

I usually am very happy with my local Big O.I had a coupon for an oil change and tire rotation. The oil change took 4 hours and they forgot to rotate the tires.

what I didn't like is when you sent the car out there was no communication with me at all regarding cost or authorization when called the other shop they express that the only communication was between you big O tires and lew so I got stuck with and unexpected bill. I do appricate you took so of the cost but given the situation you should have eaten the whole cost being that their was no communication with me at all. I was not prepare at all for that bill. NO ONE CALLED AT ALL EXCEPT TO SAY IT'S READY NOT WHAT IS IT GOING TO COST.

I like coming here. They are always helpful. One of the girls that worked there left and I am sad about that but all the men are knowledgeable.

I brought my Lexus in for 4 pm appointment whien i got there it the appointment wasn't in their system they got started on my car after about 40 min and the tech that worked on my car incorrectly mounted my tires incorrectly which was discovered by the texh that did my alignment....they took the 2 left side tires off and apparently attempted to fix the issue... i was in conversation with Zach which is my assumption the store manager he was talking to me about what the 2nd Tech found when the original Tech called to Zachs attention again of yet another problem....... this time they had to place my car on the rack once again and proceeded to strip off all my tires once again... i wasnt really given and explanation why...but all i knew it was vlose to 7p at this time and i was late qoth other appointments that i had set up for my trip to Los Angleles.... my vehicle was finally completed a lityle after 7p i had finally made my way back home and i got a call from Zach indicating that the Tech had my wheel lock in his pocket Zach said the the Tech lived near me and would drop it off ...i figured that would be good considering i had to load my car for my trip ....well 845 came around and and no one dropped off the wheel lock ...i departed for LA at this point and then my TPMS Sensor indicator lit up and i began to worry of o had a leak so i pulled over to a gas station in Tracy .....checked all tire pressures and everything checked out which led me to believe that maybe one of the TPMS sensors were damaged during all the tire switching....... i made it LA and made a call 1st this in the morning...spoke to Zach ...he apologized for the texh qho was supposed to drop of my wheel lick ..stating he had a fanily emergency...excusable...however oli explained to Zach my situation which Zach had apologized once again for the emabarassing situation....i told him id be nack up in the bay area the following week and i would bring the car vack in to be looked at... U made back into the shop Sat Zach was not in i spoke to another gentleman at this point ..expalined the senario and they had a tech look at that the issue...i explained that my TPMS sensors worked fine and were a little over 18 mo ths old there shouldnt be a reason they failed.... the Tech told me that if it wasnt damaged that there wasnt anything he could do.... I was a little taken back at this point due to the lack of concern ....however i gave him the benefit of the doubt cause he really wasnt familiar woth my situation Zach was... the tech then proceeded to tell me the cost of a new sensor was 79.00 i stated otherwise due to the nature ... he came back and offered 54.00 i didnt want to persue the issue and paid for a new sensor...it juat bewilders me how my sensors were working and are 18 months old ...... i bring my car in and spend over 900 had the worst experience and still had to come out of pocket for something i knew wasnt normal wear and tear..... i would like for whom ever gets this to contact me and explain it as if i were a 5 year old..... cause im left with a bad taste here.....

Was charged for repair of a flat on a Big O Tire - it's supposed to be a free service. Had to return to store for a refund.

The customer facing staff gave good customer service, however not very pleased with the work done on my van. It took much longer than what was explained when I dropped off my van. When I arrived to see if the van was ready, I was told it was not and I saw the technical people standing around texting on their phones. After leaving the store, I noticed that my tire pressure sensor light was on and quickly returned. The gentleman explained to me that it would turn off after about 15 minutes of driving. It did not turn off and I had to return the following day. I have had better service from this store before.
