I called a day before and got reservation for a couple of tires and set up an appointment to come in AM. When I got there, I found out the guy did not input in their system and they have to track the guy. Luckily, he was working that day and he was able to find the paperwork based on my reservation.

The store was very busy. They took me in to fix a flat and because I got the tires at this store there was no charge. A very positive experience.

We still like Big O, but the last two times we took a vehicle in, it had to go right back the next day. One brake job did not reconnect the emergency brake. Other had 4-tire replacement and there was a leak on one tire due to not tightening tire sensor - flat tire. When I was taking it back, had to wait in lines for our advisor when other advisors are just standing there. Waste of my time - shouldn't have had to be back in the shop to begin with.

I had a battery issue and Big O was able to help me on a drop in basis".had a new battery in place within the hour.

Went in for an oil change/check on need for brakes, was without my car for 2 days due to mechanic stripping oil plug. When I told them what time I needed my car back due to an appt they said that would be fine but when I showed up my car was not ready and they wanted to take me back to where I just was to rent a car which would make me late for my appt. Thankfully one of the long time guys stepped up and gave me a shop truck to get to y appt.

I've only been here twice. Once for an oil change and once for tires. Both times the service has been beyond late. The oil change was supposed to take an hour and I ended up calling at 2 1/2 hours and it was being worked on. The tires were basically the same story. I confirmed with two different people that the car would be done in 1 1/2 hours and I showed up 10 minutes until and the car hadn't even been started. I've gone to many many tire places in the bay and foothills before moving to Benicia and have never had to deal with this. Usually an appointment and pick-up time are there for a reason and the business is on point. I will give this place one more chance with my other car's tires, but beyond that, I will just accept that this business can't be on time.

I'm not sure if customer service is heading back downhill, or it is just the people working on Monday, 4/2. I walked in and had to wait to be acknowledged while people walked around talking to each other and answering the phone instead of starting my request. At 11 am, I was told it would be 1.5 to 2 hour wait so I walked home and they said they would call by 2:30. I called at 4 and was told the phone and computer were down for four hours and it was just going in the shop. No apology, more of a 'deal with it' tone. All I wanted was a rotation and balance. A young man gave a rather condescending explanation of why they couldn't rotate without the internet - at a tire shop? I asked him for a copy of the shop work order as it had the torgue, rotation pattern and preferred tire pressure on it. He wanted to know if I was going to rotate them myself. (Actually, the truck is going out of state for awhile, and I thought it would be good to send that information with it, but at this point I am thinking if it takes 6 hours to get tires rotated, I might think about it). He then proceeded to make a big deal out of making a copy just this one time as they weren't supposed to do that. He completed the tirade as he made the copy and told me, while making air quotes, that they were not supposed to waste ink. I am not sure why he thought good customer service is wasting ink. Anyway, the last few times it seemed like customer service was getting better. Hopefully, this time it was just the matter of having a young, condescending kid trying out the office and he is on his way back to the shop until he grows up. By the way, even though I am a middle-aged woman, I used to be in charge of maintenance for a fleet of vehicles and heavy equipment. Please tell him not to judge a book by its cover!

I had a wheel alignment package, and on the first alignment, even after the computer showed that everything was aligned, and a road-test with a technician, I was still not happy with a right-bias on the vehicle when driving straight and level. A couple of weeks later, I took it back to have it looked at again, describing how even thought the computer showed that the wheels were aligned, there was still a right bias. Again the wheels were serviced, and after I came back several hours later, it still wasn't right when I took it for a test drive. I once again described my problem to another staff member who assured me he'd have it fixed, and finally after returning late in the afternoon my test drive showed that the problem had been fixed. It shouldn't have taken three tries - if a technician drives straight and level with hands off the wheel at speed on the freeway, there shouldn't be a noticeable bias to either side after a wheel alignment. I was also unhappy and disappointed that some staff gave the impression that they were put out when I asked for transport home at the start of the third try, given that I had walked from home to the store already twice that morning. My previous experiences at this store had been much better than this.

Tire losing air, I diagnosed drywall screw in tread. Big O confirmed and repaired. The shop here in Benicia, CA is the best I have used.

My engine was replaced. It took 2.5 weeks because of a lack of product knowledge. I then waited another 45 min when I picked it up because of a loose exhaust. 3 days later I had to tow the truck back to your shop because there was a leak in the transmission oil line Which prevented my truck from accelerating. This was not a great experience"

The staff was excellent. But I still believe I should of been taken care of before anything else. It was just a Inspection. It doesn't take more than 10 minutes to check the vehicle. Everybody else had maintenance or longer work to do. Just in my opinion I would take care of the little stuff and work on the longer stuff in the process.

Most of the service went well, except for a somewhat rude service provider, and not being offered a reduced service fee after researching some prices
