Dropped in for a set of tires. They were offered at a competitive price. I chose Big O over Costco because of equal price and better convenience. Great quality work, on time, as promised.

We have been using Big O as long as it's been open at Desert Foothills. We've taken all our cars there for 95% of maintenance (excluding a few recall bulletins) and spent thousands on new tires, batteries and general maintenance. Big O has been fair to us regular customers. But my last two visits have me wondering if I'll ever return. In December, I had synthetic oil in my Lexus and when I picked it up, I immediately saw a low oil warning. It took a few minutes of standing in the cold before two guys came out and they put several QUARTS -- not ounces -- in the engine. I was told the original mechanic must have thought he was putting in the amount of oil for regular and not synthetic. This could have been disastrous for an expensive vehicle. Then in February we had two tires replaced, an alignment and an oil change on our Kia Optima. This time, I noticed an oil leak that wasn't there before. I called and was told it could be fixed while I waited. I got there and got attitude that it could take hours despite my protests about what I was told earlier and that nobody else there was waiting and this would have been a quick fix as soon as they got it up on the lift. I wound up walking home 2.5 miles on a bad hip, only to be told just before I got home that it was fixed. I gave the car back to my son the next day, a Thursday, and the engine blew Friday, the first day he drove it more than 10-20 miles. Big O accepted no blame but luckily Kia replaced the engine under warranty. I cannot say Big O is to blame but it's a big coincidence. And I think at the very least with the history of oil issues you should have a senior mechanic double-check the work of new/junior employees. And your advisors should take immediate action to correct problems your team caused. Unless I hear otherwise, I will be taking my business elsewhere. UPDATE: Michael, a Big O manager, responded and I'm satisfied and will raise this from 2 to 4 stars. Kia agreed there was oil in the engine, took responsibility and so hopefully it was just a timing issue. Regarding the two faulty oil changes in a row, he said that was just bad luck, that they only have experienced techs there and probably only 1 in 1,000 services ever get brought back with problems. He apologized for the less than stellar customer service and said that's not the way it should have gone. He said he lives in the community, has worked with me many times and will credit our account with two free oil changes. We appreciate the response and will give them another chance.

We have been going to Big O Tires for 15 years at Desert Foothills Pkwy & Chandler Pkwy. We have worked with Michael for years. He is absolutely the Best. Ty!

Me and my family have been bringing our cars to this location for as long as I remember and weve always been very satisfied with our service. My only problem would be the last time I brought my car in it seemed like they did not use floor mats or wash their hands before getting into my car after working on it, my floor matts were filthy and there were grease finger prints on my door, steering wheel and gear shift.

My front undercarriage of car was damaged and was removed promptly on a Sunday afternoon with no charge. I was told the part would be ordered and estimate was $200-$300. I did not hear back so called several times to check if part was in. After two weeks I finally went in and spoke with Michael, who called company regarding part he had ordered twice (while I waited). He was told it was never ordered and that it would be sent ASAP overnight, which it was! So I finally got the job done, however was shocked at the price of the parts! My total bill was $630.83 which included an oil change. It was twice as much as I was told, so was very disappointed and wish I would have gotten another estimate!

I always have a positive experience at this Big O tires in Ahwatukee. Back in the day when they weren't always so busy, they used to do more of an extensive inspection of my car and let me know what needed to be repaired. While the customer service is great, I wish they would take a bit more time to let me know if my car needed more repairs or maintenance beyond the oil change and new tires. It seems like it is more quantity over quality these days, although I would recommend the service to my friends.
