Wild Birds has been my go to store for all my “bird questions” since moving to North Carolina. Associates are very friendly and knowledgeable. Store is well maintained, organized, and very clean. And I do enjoy the option of having free shipping, but I can’t make it in to the store.

The personnel are so friendly and helpful...there are many choices and I especially love the warranty on equipment purchased from Wild Birds, i.e., bird feeder repair, etc.

The gentleman that delivers for WBU lives in our area and is always so cheerful and I'm grateful, on occasion, to have birdseed delivered when I can't make a trip to the store.

I purchased a hummingbird feeder only about a year ago. It was almost $30 for a couple of pieces of plastic. There's a cap to the base in which you put the nectar, and on the underside of the cap each port has two tines (sufficient to hold a nectar guard). One of these tines on one of the ports broke off after less than a year. I asked about getting a replacement for that part and was told that wasn't possible. I asked about a discount on a new one (without the nectar guards, bees get in there), and was told "I'll talk to the owner". But I go in there a lot to buy seed and eventually ended up just buying another unit - with no discount. This store has quality seed and it's the only decent option for that around. But they should've stood by this product they sold me and given me a new cap (or a whole new feeder) because of the defect. They saved the store $30 bucks at the cost of really turning off a customer - I think of this every time I drive by the store and I warn anyone I know who's thinking about going there. Hope it was worth it. (I moved here from a place that had an independently owned birding store, and they did stand by the products they sold, so I guess I'm spoiled.)

I went in to see if staff could identify a bird that has been visiting my feeder. They took the time to identify bird and to my delight discover it was a bird not native to our area. Such great information and great service
