I was shocked at how much the cost of birdseed has increased !!! I purchase 20lb bags and the prices have apparently increased TWICE since my last purchase … backyard bird feeders have become extremely popular which increases the demand for seed … seems the manufacturers are getting greedy … as a senior I LOVE the birds visiting my backyard but the cost is certainly affecting how often I am able to refill the feeders 😯

More often than not I go to your store to get the hot pepper LOGS and you are out of stock... this has happend to me several times and is very frustrating and it is not that you are receiving the merchandise in a day or two either!.. Since you know this is hard to keep in stock why don't you order it more often or more of it. I don't live close by and it is very frustrating to arrive at your store and no stock... As I said this has happened several times to me 40 to 50 percent. I have tried myself to buy more than I need to compensate this occurrance. Thanks!

I have reported problems with two different food types: shelled peanuts and SuperSuet, and staff have been totally unresponsive on each issue. The next result for me is wasted food (and therefore money) and a growing disrespect for what used to be an excellent store that was well worth the small premium paid in order to get friendly, ***knowledgeable*** service. If I can't trust the food and the staff aren't helpful or knowledgable, why would I want to pay more than I would at Superstore, Walmart, Canadian Tire, Home Depot, etc. ??? This used to be a great store, but now it's pretty much all about escalating prices and a continuous stream of promotions that don't really offer much value - at least not to your DSC members. Disappointing certainly, but also disheartening because there doesn't seem to be an awareness or acceptance of the need to do better. I'll be revising my Google review. Thanks for listening.

I was told you now have a points card. I was not however told there was a cost involved and when I got home, I was charged $25.00 for the membership that did not tell me at the time there was a $25.00 charge just that you received a free bag of bird seed so if I was charged $25 for the membership, how free was the seed?

Because the prices have gone up since the new owners have taken over and I’m now expected to buy a club membership to get a discount although I wasn’t told so.

I drove from Stouffville to your Newmarket store and was not allowed to use the store washroom. I had to drive to a washroom and then return to the store to make my purchase. I understand you have rules the staff needs to abide by, however, this is not good customer service. Perhaps your rules need to be changed.

My husband's birthday coupon was not received in the email in June. I informed the staff at the store in July and was advised that they would add the $5 credit in our account for next purchase. I have had some health issues the past few months as a result of a Cochlear Implant surgery. It had limited my mobility and capability to drive in the last 2-3 months. My husband and I went to the store on Oct 2 with my Sept birthday coupon and was hoping to make use of both my husband and my coupon for the purchase. We were told that my husband's credit in the account is no longer valid. They also could not apply my own Sept coupon to the purchase as the bird seeds I bought was on sale. They said my Sept coupon may not be honored upon my next visit because we are in Oct. Very disappointed at the store policy especially your products are pretty expensive.
