BIRDERS TAKE NOTICE I went to Wild Birds Unlimited in Arlington $440 on Feb 25th to get some food a new feeder. We have to have a feeder that has a closed loop for hanging rather than a hook. They had only one but it looked fine so I bought it ($55.00 I might add). Put it up the next day and since then not one bird has used it and we back up to a wildlife preserve area. We have several different kinds of birds at our other feeders, but not one on the new feeder. I thought it might be the food but finally I Googled “is there any color that birds don’t like”, and WOW. Every single site said “WHITE” is offensive and scares birds. Now someone explain to me why would a business that specializes in birds buy and or sell a white feeder ????? I’ll paint it and buy some new food as what I bought was winter food and on sale.
