Our son and I are the two folks in the family who buy the bird food. He purchases the the nut/seed blend and I prefer the clean mix with fruit. The saleswoman just went to the files to find out just what he purchases and I purchased that. I've filled one of the 4 holed cylinders with the nuts/seed mix and the other cylinder to see which the birds prefer. Whatever is in either mix certainly pleases a variety of birds from the Carolina wren to the Red Bellied Woodpeckers and Blue Jays. Mourning Doves either too heavy or clumsy to get so thy gather what they can from the ground. However, they take the longest amount of time in the bird baths. Heated water bowl a blessing in the winter....
