We are new to bird feeding and found WBU via an Audubon email newsletter. We had concerns about purchasing poorly made items and food with harmful ingredients or fillers and finding a trustworthy source recommending WBU reduced a lot of the research labor for us. We prefer to shop in person and the shop we chose, Lake Forest Park WA, happens to be located in a friendly and nice shopping area. The store itself, though small, seems to be well stocked and thoughtfully laid out. But the BEST part is the staff! The first time we visited we walked thinking surely our 45 liter backpacks would be sufficient for anything we would want. We got there 25 mins before closing and the staff were patient with all our questions and very helpful. They even went to the added trouble of re-ringing our purchases so we could join the Saver club and have that sale count! Of course we lacked carrying capacity so came back 2 days later to purchase ~$500 worth of kit and food. We must have spent 3 hours choosing parts for our pole system and the staff were unbelievably patient and kind!
