Neither satisfied or dissatisfied. Just meh!

It is not very welcoming to have the door locked and customers having to knock to enter a store. I feel this is not necessary. A lady sweeping the sidewalk told us gruffly "you'll have to knock", which we did. The she went on to bark "we close at 4"; it was about 3:50. I asked if we should not bother; she didn't answer. I am from out of town and unfamiliar with store hours. The gentleman who check us out was evidently hard of hearing or did not listen well, as I told him several times I wanted to purchase a gift card at a certain amount and he finally said "so you want to pay with a gift card? A young woman sales associate in the store was very pleasant. We were in the store about 6 minutes, four of which we were being checked out. I felt unwelcomed and rushed.

A portion of the store was "off limits" marked only by 2 signs on either side of the checkout island, one of which was hard to notice given all the "stuff" around the store. A male staff member was a bit overzealous pointing out the sign and indicating that portion was closed.

1. Having to knock on the door seemed a bit much. You cited only two customers in the store at the time on the door. There were three people working? 2. I thought the distancing at the cash register was over the top as well.

When asked for the pricing on several stone birdbaths outside the store the clerk brought the price list and answered that the smallest were the least expensive fountains. When I said I was interested in the larger birdbaths the clerk gave the answer and again reverted to the less expensive of the larger birdbaths. I was offended at the instant insinuation that I could only afford the least expensive item on more than one occasion. A simple range of prices would have sufficed. But the clerk just kept going to the “cheapest” item.

The birds still don’t like some of the food I bought. The Carolina Wren family did come to the feeder when I broke off some and put it in the tray, as I was advised to do in your store, but they don’t stay long or return often. At this rate, I won’t need to use the second batch I bought.
