This is the first time i've had bad service at the store. I had emailed beforehand to see if the regular suet (not the no melt) was available and was told yes. When I went in, the only suet out on the shelves were the no melt. When I asked for the other product i was told "all we have out is the no melt". I said I was told they had the other stock in. I got an eye roll and a big sigh "that means I'd have to check in the back". I told her I'd wait. She made a production out of telling the other staff she had to check in back. Then came out and asked if I wanted a 'sleeve'. I told her i didn't know what a sleeve was, again an eye roll and sigh. Finally she brought the 6 pack out. It was just all unnecessary. You can go anywhere and be treated poorly. It's a shame because I like this store and probably buy more than I really need to. This time I couldn't leave fast enough.

I have dealt with WBU for over 20 years and have always enjoyed my “ visits”, in The Burlington Ontario and BankStreet , Ottawa, stores, until the former staff of the Bank street store retired or were retired. Last week I had an issue with a thistle feed feeder I had bought a few years ago . The plastic tube was leaking in rain, destroying the seed ( which is very expensive) and asked if the guarantee applied. The Manager ( I think) of the Bank Street store refused flatly and did not offer any solutions . I had to persist with questions , which finally she suggested I could buy another tube, I agreed , but there were none in that store. They did repair the “ quick Clean “ part., no offer to give me plastic covers for the perches . I did visit the Hazeldean store about 18 months ago and was served by this same woman. There were no merchandise issues, just a straight purchase, however I found her impatient, and alittle rude then too. Not a good personality for WBU. All other staff have been super !

Like everything these days, the cost of bird feed has gone up so much. I am rethinking if I will continue to feed the birds going forward.

Your staff for whatever reason think that they are the customers and we are suppose to act accordingly, for example they become readily uninterested in you if you are asking questions ( too many ) in their opinion. If you go near closing time once its one minute past closing they let you know you are not welcome anymore and actually they are doing you a favour by completing your purchase. They treat customers like idiots and you can have a degree in Engineering and they assume you are a mechanical idiot when it comes to explaining how pieces go together and any other particulars related to feeders and support. If you question the price of anything ( some of them are pretty high ), well how dare you "just don't get the quality or the care that goes into the design", even someone who has paid over $1000.00 to the company. I hate going into your store and am going to buy everything online. The Store is located in Ottawa in the Heron Gate Mall. This is not a one time thing.

Some staff members were courteous but some not. A piece needed to mount the feeder to the pole was missing so I will have to return to the store again tomorrow.

I’ve been a customer for this store for over 15 years, about $10 000 in sales. I’ve informed them twice that there was a problem with finches food (nyjer seed). Not one bird is eating it, not even the squirrels were interested, no living animals. I brought back the $60.00 bag and told them this is serious, something is very wrong with this food. I ask for some type of assistance and/or credit, nothing was offered. To me, this is incredibly wrong business,
