The advertised price for 87 octane gasoline was $1.86/gallon. When I used my debit card for the transaction the pump registered a price of $2.26/gallon. There was no other option so I canceled the transaction before pumping any gas. I know that some service station charge a little more when using debit/credit cards but an additional 40 cents/gallon is ridiculous. I went to a competitor's station and, using my debit card, paid $1.85/gallon.
