Cost of Regular gasoline is not competitive with Love at Interstate 59 exit 100

Pressed Regular gas button and was charged for Premium gas. Cashier was very rude when I explained my ticket showed different than what I requested. Is this a malfunction? Or possible scam?

Upon checking my checking account I noticed that I've had a $1.00 charged in addition to the $8.00's that it took to fill my tank. There was no notice that I would be charged for purchasing with a debit or credit card? I've purchased for years from several Murphy locations, and this is my first time charged for buying.
