Shari's

On our way home from an evening at the theater we stopped to have pie and hot chocolate. I as with a friend who is 88 yrs old and walks with a walking stick. We waited for 25 minutes to be seated even though there were many empty tables available. When I asked a second time if we could be seated, my companion very tired, I was told we could not because they were short on wait staff. This coming from a person who identified herself as the night manager. She was very rude and cared little about providing any customer service including something as basic as a seat for an 88 year old woman. I observed her talking with employees and doing little to help the one server on duty. Our server was great once we were seated, though getting our pie was a slow process. I felt badly for here, no doubt losing tips as she was taking care of more than as reasonable. When we checked out we were told the manager could not help because she was "supervising"! She was supervising HORRIBLE customer service and a restaurant I cannot return to....

My friend and I went to Shari’s Cafe. We had a horrible experience and I was very disappointed. We were each given only one napkin although we ate sandwiches and fries with our hands. The waitress didn’t offer refills of our water or my iced tea. I was billed $5.99 for a milkshake although the menu showed $2.99 as the price. The milkshake glass was placed directly on the table without a plate, doily or coaster. The overflow from the glass dripped and I had to use my only napkin to wipe it. We waited a long time for our food but the restaurant wasn't busy, and the food was not hot. My french dip sandwich wasn't on real french bread, it was soggy, mushy when dipped into the au jus. There was also very little meat on the sandwich. I asked for tartar sauce for my fries, but was given ranch dressing. My milkshake was melted and watery when served. It hardly resembled ice cream at all. My friend’s sandwich was served with a lot of overly spicy mustard placed directly on the sandwich. It was sloppy and he did not enjoy it. The waitress kept my receipt which allows me to go online to complete the survey. I had to ask for it back.

server came quickly, got drinks and took order. food came within 10 minutes so pretty good. then server disappeared. no refills were given, asked other staff for refills still no help. server never returned. unable to order dessert. bus boy came and took our plates, even our glasses and wiped table. waited 20 more minutes for server, still no return. went to front cashier who thought we sat ourselves because our table was clean, and thought we didn't even eat yet. after telling her we were waiting for refills and were done eating she found our server who came to check us out and gave us bill. i asked for free drinks because we never got any refills (or chance to even ask) she said no because we had the drinks. server was rude and never apologized, and was upset that I had told manager that she never came back to our table. it was 'free pie' night and server then told us pie was only free in house, and not "to go". i said we waited so long we didn't have time, but it didn't matter. no free pie as advertised and no free drinks since we had no refill. highly unlikely to ever return if this is how service is.

I ordered a coffee that I canceled later when I was done with my food and they never got me the coffee and then I relized at home that I was charged for it. The waitress desapered and I had to ask someone for my check after I waited a long time for it. I told the waitress my quiche was cold and she ask if I wanted something else instead but after waiting so long for someone to help me I was not hungry anymore. I only ate the toast and fruit that came with it but still had to pay for the whole thing. I paid $13 for toast and fruit!

I took my daughter and her boyfriend out for dinner. They chose Shari's as the place to go. I ordered a garden burger that came with a small green salad. The green salad was so minimally prepared that I was embarrassed to see it...just a small pile of mixed greens, a few cherry tomatoes, two or three cucumber slices, and a whopping pile of dry croutons--all of the components could have come from my local supermarket in containers; the "salad" reflected no care in preparation or presentation at all. The Garden Burger was an amazing creation: It had two WILTED pieces of lettuce, one or two slices of tomato, slices of avocado, all 'sandwiched' between two pieces of what looked like flattened English muffin (not a 'burger bun')...the garden burger patty was at a tepid warmth, not hot. One of my guests ordered potato pancakes from the breakfast menu; he received a plate with three small cakes and some kind of garnish, but the portion size was so small that it looked like the cakes wanted company. On the whole, the food was absolutely terrible, and I couldn't imagine anyone in the kitchen putting that on a plate and allowing it to be served. This is Shari's quality?? Bill: $48!

I specifically asked the waitress not to have mushrooms put in my egg scramble and mushrooms WERE put in the meal. I tried to take them out, but the egg scramble still had an aftertaste of mushrooms. I ate about a third of the scramble and that was it. After bringing it to the attention of the waitress, she asked me if there was anything else I wanted? I asked for an English muffin to use up some remaining peanut butter and jam. When it came time to pay the bill, I was not charged for the English muffin, but was charged the full price for the Bistro Breakfast. Secondly on my way out of the restaurant, I used the Men's restroom. The smell of bleach was overwhelming, as it had been generously used on the restroom floor. Bleach and urine do not mix and form a TOXIC dangerous gas. It's been two hours now since I was at the restaurant and I can still smell the bleach in my nose when I inhale. This is the second time that I have used the restroom at Shari's and experienced a reaction to bleach used on the restroom floor.

Shari's Menu Displays three displays, namely: Breakfast; Lunch and Dinner on a portion of the inside of the menu and a bat for the remaining section and the balance of the page with the declaration, "Shari's is now serving Prime Rib all day, every day." Although the is a statement regarding the limitation of wine service is two places on the menu, there is no limitation of Prime Rib service, albeit Shari's Aurora 196 limits service to each of the choices displayed in violation of Washington's Consumer Protection Act shari's

This food was disgusting only reason why I ate some of it is because i payed for it.

the waitress was rude while I was trying to order for my boyfriend which is something we like to do she interuputed me and would not let me finish. She charged us for different toast when she got the order wrong.
