The place was infested with flies. They were buzzing around our heads and landing on our table while we were trying to eat and they were everywhere in the restaurant.

We have ate at this location on more than one occasion this past year and it seems the service and the time to get order has been declining . We also eat at a competitor around the corner and find the service , food etc.. a lot more appealing.

I love Shari's, as a rule. I am addicted to the sour cream lemon pie. On my last visit, the restaurant had no sour cream lemon pie. This time, I was told it would cost me a buck more--it is now considered a "classic." That made me unhappy to begin with, and --why does the designation of "classic" mean it suddenly must cost more? I spent most of my meal trying to fight off a very persistent fly. The lettuce in my sesame salad--which, by the by, has no visible sesame seeds, which is just confusing--was on the edge of slimy. The waitress seated me near a noisy table with a crying child, and the child's father spent most of his meal giving the toddler reasons to cry and then taunting him for crying. Obviously, my luck was bad this evening, but usually I like Shari's food, service, and environment--although this summer there have been more flies, in my experience.

I ordered the chicken berry salad. I did not realize that the dressing was sesame rather than basalmic. I asked why that dressing was served and the waitress said that's what the chef thought went best with that salad. I disagreed and asked for a new dressing. When she came back with the new dressing she asked if I wanted to switch my order, I said no the new dressing is fine. The manager then came over to ask if we were satisfied with our experience and then explained that the dressing was part of the Shari's recipe. When we went to check out the manager brought up the Shari's recipe on a printout to again educate us. I'm sorry I switched the dressing. I apparently really upset your staff. In the future, listing the dressing with the advertisement would be helpful. Thank you.

Very misleading menu: at least 1 version of the menu is very misleading: I intentionally looked all around the menu for the price of regular shakes. It has a section that suggests adding a fountain shake for 3.99, or $2 more for a PIE shake (=5.99!). There is another section that prominently says PIE SHAKES and states their price at 5.99 No other place declares fountain shakes, so TRYING to figure out your price fountain shakes is misleading. Overall: If you wanted to tailor the worst customer experiences you could, having your customer try to plan the cost of their meal, then get surprised by the bill, and be faced with eating the cost or having to argue in front of their friends ranks up their in ward people away, never return territory. PS. the shift manager did eventually give me a discount, but made it really clear that they weren't going to do anything about the continued problem because corporate handled menus. SO THEY INTEND TO CONTINUE MISLEADING PEOPLE. I own a business. I pay for advertising and promotions. I'd have sorted and pulled every version of that menu before the morning rush came, both for that customers exp and for future avoidance of extreme negative rep.

The host had to become our waiter because the waitress didn't acknowledge our presence. I wanted our 15 minutes and still paid
