Shari's

I have had better food at other restaurants. Sorry to see Brown Bag is closed next door to this Shari's.. The quality, variety and quantity is superior to Shari's. Tastes more like Home Cooked food.

The restaurant is a little dark and the decor a little too retro, with its primarily orange decor.

I suggest adding a salad menu item using the cranberry, pecan, chicken salad salad ingredients.

Took a little longer than expected to receive food after ordering. Not very long, just longer than expected. When food received, had to ask for cranberry sauce for turkey meal.

The vegetarian options were few, and the one I had (spinach omelet) was terribly bland. Though, on the good side, it did have more fresh avocado than I was expecting. Nothing was bad, just blah.

Our waitress came to our table, but continued a conversation with someone behind the service booth. And she seemed rushed when speaking with us, finishing our sentence (ie can we have a pie... to go? No, menu). She was very friendly, but it came across as rushed.

It took awhile to get my order placed and the waiter forgot to bring my water while I was waiting.

The food is not as amazing as what I have had at 'non-chain' breakfast restaurants, and is more expensive than some of those. The food is satisfactory for an easy to get to location that is between my friends commute and my own. By far the biggest reason that we continue to go to Sharis every week is the service. After only our 3rd week in a row Hilary, [works morning shift at on wednesdays at the Totem Lake location #162] who regular provides us amazing service with a smile and friendly chating, had already gotten our drink order memorized. The next month she knew to always put cheese on my eggs and get salsa on the side when i never remembered I liked either of those things. She is the reason I go to sharis every week, and my friend an I never stress about whether we will get good service; we know it will be great, and the food will always be good [even though its not amazing <3 ].

The food is good although the price is slightly (slightly) higher than I would like. The omelet was just OK. I would also like to see the menu expanded as far as sandwiches.
