There were only 3tables in server area she said she was training a new staff, if she is training it may not be the best person. Order taking slow salad came out moments before fish and shrimp order. My drink and wifes water only got filled after I made eye contact as they stood behind counter after helping someone at register. Again only taking care of three tables. I have been a server and this was not good service

The biggest, most annoying problem at the Lake Meridian Shari's is the rapidly flickering light caused by the numerous ceiling fans placed below bright lights. The flicker is a major distraction and gave my daughter a headache. Some people may enjoy eating a late dinner under a strobe light, but I regard the inability to control the fans or the bright lights is a significant design flaw in the restaurant decor. The speed of service was limited because there appeared to be only one person serving as hostess, waitress, and cashier. I felt she was doing her best. Another unpleasant issue was the group of 6 - 8 people standing outside but near the door, smoking. You could not walk into or out of the restaurant without passing through a cloud of smoke. At least one of the people in the group appeared to be a restaurant staff member.

The waitress was great, under the circumstances. The restaurant is understaffed, the cook was slow, and the food was tasteless. I manage retail and customer service myself, and this seems to be a symptom of our society that needs to be fixed.

No one Greeted or Acknowledged me while I was waiting in line.In fact 6 people left for that reason. My Eggs Benedict were hard boiled and the side order of pancakes were "dry" and over cooked (too dark, almost burned). However, the waiter did apologized for my wait. I may return to try you guys again but it will not be anytime soon. Also the hash browns were "greasy" and not brown and the amount was very small. Note: I did leave the waiter a decent tip!

I watched my order sit in the window for 25 minutes. My food was cold and disgusting and not even correct/what I ordered. When I complained to the staff, they began making poor excuses and then stood behind the counter in a group and talked and laughed while they stared at my table.

Poor customer service & poor attitudes by the servers. It is the same every time I go in. There are a few servers I refuse to sit with due to poor service & an attitude like they don't want to be there. The food is not staged & brought properly. Most the time I don't get my senior honor points, I bring it to their attention & they make up some excuse, walk the other way. Julie is a sweetheart & treats me like a King. I have known her for a LONG time. I have been coming here since this restaurant opened. Its the same old song & dance. ALL employees should go thru a customer service refresher course-it should be the Shari's way of doing business! Thank-you.

our server made our pie shakes very poorly with not enough ice cream so each pie shake only filled the single glass and did not have the additional portion in the metal cup for a well balanced shake. When ordering beverages asked for water and spent a good deal of time trying to flag a waiter down to finally get water in the smallest cup shari's has despite informing the waiter that I drink quite a bit, I understand when shari's is busy and a waiter might not be able to assist me, in this scenario he was walking to another waiter that was on lunch and simply ignoring the 4 tables that were currently occupied. Meal was not very good, we tried the new seasonal salmon eggs Benedict and the eggs were poorly made and the stuffed hash browns were mealy and slightly under cooked. we were going to get pie like we always do but the meal left us feeling underwhelmed.

Food was not prepared correctly, wrong gravy on Turkey Dinner Sandwich. Turkey Dinner Sandwich was not appetizing in appearance. Sweet potatoes fries were overcooked and dry. Tator tots were overcooked in old oil so were bitter tasting. Drinks were never refilled, water was never brought even though ordered. No straws were provided although asked for. Check was never given, had to just go to front counter. Was never asked if we enjoyed our meal, or if everything was okay. Second worst dining experience in my 46 years of life. Only beat out by the restaurant that had feces smeared on the walls of the men's room. We will NEVER, eat at this Shari's, and possibly not any other nor recommend Shari's, again.

Our server was not even the one who took our order, someone helping did it instead. We were not checked on ONCE during our meal. It took us two times after 10 minutes of asking to get water refills.

asked for my hashbrowns to be cooked well done on both sides and I received it cooked on one side only, eggs were lukewarm and pancakes were rubbery. the server only checked on our table once she saw my husbands plate done and then asked if I wanted a box, told her no that my hashbrowns were not cooked as ordered and she replied she would let the manager know, never apologized, but said the cook did not cook as ordered. We were comped for the hashbrowns only, yet if she would have had the manager come to our table I would have been able to let them know of our dissatisfaction of their service and food preparations. FYI: Server was checking in on each of her tables several times, yet we only saw her to get our drinks then ordered, food to our table and then of course to clear and bring our check to us with a lousy comp.
