Shari's

My wife's banana cream pie was essentially a 1/8 inch layer of flavored banana cream covered with two inches of whipped cream. My pot roast was horrible. Three very small baby carrots, two tiny pearl onions, five or six pieces of grizzle, and 1/2 cup of mashed potatoes covered by thick, black gravy.

I ordered the New York Steak Breakfast-RARE with stuffed hash browns. It took over 20 minutes to receive our food. The restaurant had 4 cars in the parking lot when we arrived so I would say business was slow. The meals sat on the counter for about 5 min with the supervisor glancing periodically at them---why I do not knpw, then he decided to bring them to us himself. Even though the steak was the same thickness through out, it was medium done on one end and well done on the other end. The hash browns were cool. My husbands Meat Lovers Skillet was warm not hot, same with his biscuits and gravy. The eggs were warm not hot. I told the waitress and she said she passed my message on to the supervisor. The waitress did offer to redo the meal but after waiting over 20 min the first time I didn't want to wait another 20 min or more. The supervisor never came over to talk to us about our meal nor did he make an adjustment to the bill to compensate for the errors. Waitresses were good, management was poor. This may not have happened if the first waitress was not busy getting her belongings together to go off shift.

The waitress would talk to long to other people and my food was cold! It sat under the heat light to long.

The restaurant was not clean (floors), the servers were very unkempt (shirts out, wrinkled), even the cook looked like he needed personal improvement. The presentation of the plates was tossed and not appetizing to look at. The stuffed hash browns were under cooked and the filling was hardly inside, more like a side order.

First of all and most important, it was Thanksgiving and they were out of turkey at 3:00pm!! Ordered the ham, which was over cooked and dry! We have been coming to this Sharis for more than 15yrs, last Thanksgiving was excellent,

We were slow to be seated. Like no one knew who was to seat us. Then we waited to order drinks and appitizer. Took forever to get our drinks(5 minutes) and then finally our appitizer came out. When our dinners came out the tater tots were not hot. Then I had to get up and find the waitress to order our pies. Then I finally went to the checkout to pay because we never received a check. Took almost 1 hour and 45 minutes to have a simple dinner. Never had such bad service at this sharis. It is our favorite.

Extremely short staffed; only 2 waitresses, 2 cooks, no kitchen staff or clean up crew. Therefore drinks came late, were no refills, and coffee was cold, food was not the quality we are used to; either overcooked or not the right thing.

When I approached counter to ask for a pie and had a few questions regarding what was available, the lady manager standing there was extremely rude and impatient. Like she couldnt wait for someone to take over for her so she could get back to more important matters. Which she did. And a waitress came to ring me up finally. Left me with a sense of very poor customer service. Pretty bad when the manager treats you like that.

First of all, the credit card used and the Shari's card do not match, my friend paid for the meal. This was the third meal in a row, at the Silverdale Shari's where the food was of poor quality. They have a great manager and efficient wait staff but the food has become of poor quality. The things I ordered in these meals seem to have been prepared somewhere else and heated locally. The food was not fresh. First meal was senior omelette and french toast. The omelette was cold and the french toast seemed like it was something pre-prepared and just heated, not freshly made. Next meal was fish and chips. Fish was fried too hot and quick, batter was burnt on outside and gooey on inside. Chips were COVERED in pesto, it was disgusting. I have ordered this in the past and it was much better. Last meal was chicken fried steak. More like cardboard. Too much batter, meat was dry and tough. They replaced it with chicken fingers, only slightly better. The staff made every effort to satisfy us. It is either the cook or the ingredients. I have gone to Shari's for years but three strikes you're out and these meals were very poor quality.
