Disgruntled Customer

Stopped frequenting this location a year ago for lousy Customer Service and thought I would give it another chance. Sitting at the counter guarantees you will not get service and as I am explaining this to an off duty employee my waitress assures I will not be ignored and was not back to talk to me until it was time to give me my check. Had to ask another employee to bring me a carafe of water as my glass was empty (I asked for it when I placed my order), had to ask the same employee to bring my salad to me when it came out of the kitchen, and again bothered this employee to get my desert for me. The person who had my section finally came back to talk to me as I am finishing my pie and then asks me if there is anything else and when as ask for Marionberry Jam I am handed a Blackberry Jam and after checking the bag I am finally told "We are Out of everything except Blackberry" upon my complaint they went looking and found a box with Marionberry in it. I did not see any employees from my previous visits so assume the entire staffing has changed and not for the better.

Bathroom out of paper towels - counter very wet. Server (Candice) was busy and it took too long to take our order. Food (tea bag and brown liquid) spilled on the kitchen floor (Near our seat) and not cleaned up for about 20 minutes. We over heard two servers (not our server) complain how busy it was and they just wanted to go home. Our server polite but salad arrived - dressing a few minutes later with dressing down the side of the cup. She kept saying the kids food was almost up. After being seated for about 45 minutes and no food and needing to get to a Children's Theater performance. I asked for the check and everything to go. She kept saying it's almost up. I said you keep saying that. I knew she felt badly. But I told her most of this isn't her fault but she never apologized to us. Will not return. Terrible experience.

The service was terrible. Took nearly 10 minutes to get drinks, almost as long for the server to come to our table, no eye contact after that. The server didn't come to check on our table until we were nearly done eating. The food was not very warm, the portion sizes were small, overlooked and dry.

While eating salad, there were slimy, dirty leaves of lettuce. When showed to the server, she only offered another salad. Then she threw it away without showing anyone else. She did not offer any other compensation. Pat had lost her appetite, but ate the other parts of her dinner. The situation was once again brought to the attention of the cashier. No compensation was offered. He just said that he would go to the kitchen to tell them to be more careful with the salads. We felt that there should have been some other dish offered as compensation for the yucky salad, or a small deduction from the cost of the food. It was so disappointing from the quality of food we have expected at Shari's. We will not be returning for some time. Slimy green salad in a white bowl only accentuates the disaster.

I should have left after the third person told me that someone would be right with me (and weren't), but I've enjoyed Shari's before and waited. Finally seated, my server tried to be as attentive as she could but it seemed like they were short staffed. The soup was like warm, the grilled cheese sandwich was so greasy and disgusting that I left 1/2 of the 1/2 sandwich. As I was waiting, forever, for my check the server finally started to come to me when the manager told her to help someone at the counter while he continued to chat with someone. The food was disgusting, the manager needs to engage with his customers and not just stand around. Needless to say I will never return to this Shari's again!

we were highly satisfied with our experience except for the temperature of my soup .It was barely warm and I had to ask to have it reheated! Other than that everything was great as usual.

Took too long to be seated, menu changes were not desired, some of the things on the previous menu had been removed, food took a long time to get to the table and was not warm enough, prices were way too high for the amount of food.

From the moment we arrived took forever to be greeted, the seated. It took a long time for the server to arrive to take our order. I noticed people that were seated after us, received that food before us. Once we finally got our meals, my bacon was way overcooked. The biscuits had been microwaved to the point they were very tough and very little gravy served with them. I could not get anyone's attention to have it taken care of so at this point all I wanted was OUT and back on the road. This was the worst breakfast I have ever had.

The NW Steak Salad was not as pictured in the menu. The steak was not sliced it was one piece of meat quartered up into squares on placed on top of the salad. Not at all as pictured. I brought this to the attention of the server who went to two managers not more than a booth away from my booth. Dave and Jason listened to the server regarding my dissatisfaction, but they both walked away and did not even acknowledge that there was a problem. They completely ignored me as if they did not know what to do. They took $5.00 off the bill. The server apologized but said that the new cooks did not know how to prepare the food. The food should not be served if it is not prepared as pictured. The two managers turned their backs to me as I paid my bill. My biggest complaint is the food. I was very disappointed and unhappy with the managers. I believe that one if not both should have apologized to me and taken action to make sure the food is prepared and served as pictured in the menu.

We have been a frequent customer since moving to the area 6 months ago and never had such a dissatisfying experience before. Unfortunately we stopped in to celebrate a birthday. We were seated right away but after 20 minutes had to get up and ask for our waitress....we were forgotten! Then it took over 20 minutes for our lunch to arrive. After eating, we waited and waited for our pie that came with our lunch order...we had to get up again and ask for our waitress! At this point we just asked for the pie to go, we had no more time to "Wait". Lastly, we had to go get our waitress to ask for the check. FYI, we never did have a 'true' waitress...it was the male shift manager (a rather large fellow) who we originally flagged down and had to keep flagging down the entire time we were there...he never did get our assigned waitress but tried to take care of us personally which was a disaster. And, FYI, the restaurant was more than half empty...not busy at all.
