Shari's

Coffee was cold. Hot Cocoa gritty and not throughly mixed. Fries and Hash browns pale and under cooked. When we sent the potatoes back we were asked if we wanted them burnt. We answered yes. They came back properly cooked, not nearly burnt. Two dishes served with white gravy. On both, the gravy was cold, watery, and incompletely prepared. By this time, too tired to complain, simply ate what we could and left. This was singularly the worst experience I've had to date. I'll be back, but I'll be very wary as well.

My husband and I eat at this Shari's several times a month and have never had this type of experience! After we were seated, no one came to our table for a good 10 minutes. At which time we were asked if we had places our drink orders, I replied, no, no one has asked. The male server apologized and took our order and returned with our drinks right away. I told him that we were ready to order our meals and said that he would alert our waitress (who during the entire time we were waiting to be helped, was visiting with a group of customers at another table). When she finally showed up she was extremely distracted and acted like she was annoyed that she was asked to leave her visiting session. We placed our order and she returned to visiting with the other table. When we finally got our food, it was COLD and looked like a 5 year old had platted it, very sloppy and unprofessional looking. We never did get our check and headed to check out when our server noticed us and asked if we were ready for our check. We said yes and continued talking toward check out to meet her there. VERY UNPLEASANT VISIT AND WE ARE NOT HAPPY!

We were seated at a table and were given coffee, after we received our coffee no one came to our table for about ten minutes. When we finally did make our order it seemed to take an abnormal amount of time to get the food. No one ever returned to our table after receiving our food, we had to go to the front counter to get our check. It was about 12:30 A/M and the establishment was not busy. I have been to this location many times and have had this waitress before, for some reason last night she was very rude to us and I am not at all sure what we did to be treated so poorly.

I watched my server Tony run around doing the job of at least 3 people and all at the same time i watched the person in charge, Kerri I believe, move at her own speed barely greeting or helping anyone that needed it. While my server had gone to lunch I tried to wave her down several times, I finally got annoyed and got up. She told me that my server would be right with me, which was the waitress that was now working ALL tables! When my son dropped his phone in between the booth and the wall i asked the waitress (JacQ?) if she could get me something to get it out and she was very polite and told me that someone would be there shortly. When i waited (watched and listened) the waitress referred the problem to Kerri and her response to it (very loudly) was "REALLY!" The waiter/waitress were doing their best while being short handed and Kerri was clearly not willing to do her part! She clearly needs to find another job!

We walked in and we're greeted, then 7 people paid their checks before someone was told to seat us. She was not happy about it because she was going to help a man with a take out order that was taking forever to get. She told us it wasn't her choice to seat us and her manager made her. Then it took a very long time for our server to even come over to us. We considered leaving at that point but we were hungry. We ordered. I ordered cinnamon roll french toast with no caramel, pecans, or whipped cream, just butter and syrup and crispy bacon. My boyfriend ordered the cedar plank salmon. Our food came out at a reasonable time, but my bacon wasn't crispy, I had no syrup, and my food was downright cold. His salmon and veggies were overcooked and rubbery. He asked for a refill on his iced tea that didn't come for at least halfway through him eating. He had to flag someone down to get me syrup and ketchup which I asked for when our food came out. Then I asked for a refill of my soda that never came. We came to the front and our server said she was "just coming to us" but we had been waiting quite a while. I said we just want to leave and she apologized.

We went to Shari's on Burnside in Gresham. When we were to be seated the person seating us started to seat us in a booth with no seats. Then she wanted us to wait while she cleared another table. There was plenty of seating in the other portion of the premises. I said asked if we could be seated over there. She agreed and seated us at a booth. We ordered iced teas and began to look at the menu. All we wanted was a BLT for my wife and a chef's salad for me. Neither of these items were to be found on the new menu. We asked the server (Jo) about it and she could find them on there either, nor explain why they were not on there. To me these are basic restaurant offerings. We declined to eat and left. BUT were charged $5.18 for the two iced teas which we did not even finish. The manager was not inclined to talk to us. We will NOT be back at a Shari's again..The new menu offerings leave a lot to be desired.

The waitress Melanie was extremely rude not atentive she messed up with my order I ask for the sauce on the side and she did not do anything to correct the problem and on top of that she still charge for the wings. And the manager on duty was not capable to deal with the situation either. I experienced the manager argue with another costumer next to us There for the whole experience was horrible never come back to this place ever again

we ordered milkshakes. once upon a time you served milkshakes, now you have , at best, flavored water. the very nice wait staff said that shari's had recently switched from hard ice cream to a much softer serve. this change, for the sake of convenience, is a disaster. the wait staff had two different people attempt twice to make our shakes. both times they were watery and nothing like your shakes of the past. had the servers not been so earnest in their attempts i would not have paid the $5.99 each for this poor concoction. also no one ever served us water, apparently since we were not ordering "food" water was a luxury that was not included. we will not be returning to shari's. may i suggest that you not try to "improve" your pies like you have tried to improve your milkshakes.

We felt like we were put in the back corner and then ignored. We had to request the same thing several times. She took our drink order, brought half of it, and the rest of us waited quite a long time until we caught the attention of a different server. When she asked us if we wanted dessert, we said yes, she left and did not come back for another 15 minutes, then took one person's order and went to leave until we stopped her. She would take one person's plate and leave the rest. We had to keep asking her if she would take our plates. We had asked for ranch on the side for 3 of us for french fries, she said ok, took off, and did not come back for quite a while and then she did not bring the ranch and we had to ask again. Then she got snippy and asked if there was anything else she could do for us in a very snippy way. My granddaughter ordered a grilled cheese sandwich. We discovered it was grilled on only one side. The other side was just buttered. This is not a way to treat your customers if you want them to come back. We were not impressed at all and I don't think we will be returning.

Was sat at a table then asked to go wait at door for a different table, waited 5 more minutes. Took 15 minutes and another server to even start our order or drinks. Asked for a salad with dinner - was given it in place of regular side. Food was sloppy and did not taste good. When given my guest check it was another tables and that person had already paid for one of the orders from my table because it was incorrectly put on wrong check. Horrible service and food.
