Shari's

While waiting to be seated, there was a deaf family that was also waiting to be seated. On the waitlist, it was noted that the family was deaf. However, when their table was ready, the host called them out twice ignoring the note and eventually said that they were not there. A manager then called them and the same thing happened. I had to tap them and let them know that their table was ready. I found it very inconsiderate and rude customer service for the note to go unnoticed or not even considered.

This is the first time we got burned pancakes.

We like your restaurant, but there is one thing sadly lacking - an alternative to pork bacon. You had turkey bacon at one time, and we loved it. I spoke to two of the managers, and they both said that it was your decision (not the restaurants') to discontinue it. If we are going to have breakfast, we have been forced to go to Denny's because of their selections.

The server was dismissive of me. I believe he thought that I was just going to eat french fries and a shake then sit all night and study. My intention was to have a snack when I arrived, do some studying and then order a meal and maybe dessert. After bringing me my fries and shake he dropped off the bill, not even asking if I would like anything else and told me that he was going on his break. I never even received the glass of water I asked for when I placed my initial order. No attempt to sell me a piece of pie or additional drink. I was here a few days ago and loved the service and atmosphere so tonight I was looking forward to getting some homework done in a relaxed atmosphere with friendly servers. Joke was on me. I'm really disappointed. I drove 15 min to come here and it was a total let down. I should have gone to the iHop just a mile from my house.

Somewhat recently you added quiche to your menu. Looking forward to this entree I ordered it yesterday. First, it was not anywhere near authentic quiche Lorraine. What it seemed to me to be was like an egg pudding with some crumbled bacon sprinkled over it. I did not send it back because I had a guest with me and didn't want to set a negative tone. My guest did enjoy her NY steak with a side of shrimp. Either the cook on duty didn't know what to do or he/she was following an incorrect recipe. I would never order that dish again and would counsel anyone with me not to order it.

One of us ordered the Eggs Benedict. It was fine. One of the eggs was a bit overdone, but otherwise, just fine. (I like the Eggs Benedict; it's what I usually order.) The other of us ordered the NY steak dinner. It was disappointing. The steak was a poor cut and appeared to have been hammered by a meat tenderizer in an attempt to fix that. It was medium rare, but flavorless and chewy. The "baked" potato was obviously microwaved, then wrapped in foil. The (3) onion rings were mediocre and the toast was stiff. The salad was all field greens. It needs some Romaine or iceberg mixed in to give it crunch and balance the flavors. (My spouse is still trying to find something at Shari's that is consistent and tasty).

I came into Sharis at 11:30 before the lunch rush and the restaurant was not very busy at all. While my server was pleasant, she was not very attentive. When I couldn't get anyone's attention, I simply got up and went to the waiters station near me and filled my own water glass. Later I had to ask two different waiters to get more water. My waitress didn't stop by to check if everything was ok until I was almost done with my meal.

Prime rib could not be served medium rare

For this visit, and one prior, my husband ordered biscuits and gravy with his breakfast order. Both times the biscuits were hard as a rock and the gravy was not hot. We have eaten elsewhere where the biscuits are light and fluffy.

Specifically requested sandwich NOT be toasted. It came toasted. Caesar sadlad came with old lettuce. Had to remove several brown lettuce pieces. Half grilled cheese sandwich came with unmatched top and bottom, not made when ordered. It was an old order or pre-made and waiting for someone to order it. Please note that we have experience the food quality, at this location, "go down hill" through the years. We were hopeful when Sheri'a took over. We like the restaurant and menu selection, but the food quality is lacking. After all, it was lunch time, and the food should have been fresher. Not leftovers.
