Shari's

I tend to order the same items on your menu. The words Highly Satisfied would be a menu item I've never tried before and found it more than just satisfying. I'm a regular customer of Shari's and am overall satisfied with the dining experience.

The hostess and our server were great. Our server was very attentive and friendly. Unfortunately, my lunch trio (half sandwich, soup and pie) took over a half hour to arrive (I think it was supposed to be within 15 minutes according to the menu guarantee?). To make things worse, the dishes of the other three people who were dining with me didn't arrive for another 10-15 minutes.

No one at the front counter, no I'll be right with you. A frequent situation at this store. Otherwise very good.

I was satisfied and will more than likely return in the future. To expect a highly satisfied you should be outstanding in all aspects and that just did not happen. The Service was good and the food as expected.

The Ranch dressing was not fresh made and the lettuce was wilted in my salad.

Shari's is a good, local coffee shop and the only one within a number of miles, so it's busy most of the time. I did have to stand at the front (with no one waiting in front of me) while the cashier was doing something.....and I wasn't "acknowledged" for probably 3 or 4 minutes. If I were the owner or manager, I'd be sure they all know to at least acknowledge those waiting, regardless of whether there's a table available or not. Once someone came over to seat me, I asked for a window seat and was given one. We frequently go to Shari's when we're in the area and it's always consistent. Not sure how you could make it the "go to" place in Greenhaven, considering the menu and staff. But it's a decent menu and not a bad restaurant at all. I'll continue going there.

Waitress was slow

Wasn't too busy yet it took quite a while to be seated and order. Hot water for tea was lukewarm.

Good waitresses rarely stay at this location; a few of the newer waitresses are somewhat kurt and lack good customer service and awareness of drink refills and table attentiveness.

My waitress was courteous, friendly and efficient. No problem there. She got stopped several times (once when she had gone to see what the soup of the day was -- it was just before lunch time -- and a couple of times after that) by impromptu staff meetings. I was near the kitchen so of course heard almost every word. The food, when it arrived, wasn't "plated." It was just slice of cold quiche with a mushy crust dropped on a plate with a couple of thin melon slices thrown on next to it. I love quiche but this was bland, cold and the crust was soggy (which you really notice when the food is cold).
