bad service and pretty expensive

My waiter was new and very flirtatious. I did NOT flirt back. We joked back and forth, however, I couldn't understand his English very well. He did tell me his wife work there and pointed her out. It took just a little longer getting my order back and when I did get it, his wife delivered it somewhat forced. I was reading and didn't see her coming and she almost threw it on the table and quickly walked away. After this incident the atmosphere was tense and I did NOT get any follow up and was completely ignored by all staff after the incident. I was delivered the wrong dressing and had to flag down another waitress from the other side of the restaurant to exchange it. I did nothing wrong. It was very unprofessional behavior and am not sure I want to return. For some reason after the "remodel" there has been a high turn over of serving staff.

waitress didn't tell us that you now charge for non classic pies so when we got our check we thought it was wrong. The person that rang up our check told us then why we were charge more. We had water with our meal because it was a hot day and we had breakfast at dinner and didn't want coffee. The manger went over to a table to some he might of knew with a big pitcher of water but didn't check to see if we or anyone else needed water or anything else.

Wait staff ratio to customers is too low. We waited for a table (usual for Wednesday), were finally seated, but I had to ask for menus and water (we sat there for 10 minutes)--was told the guy who seated us is new--is that an excuse? Food took LONG time to arrive (do you not have enough staff in kitchen? I had to ask to water refills. When the pie arrived, 2 were delivered (there were 4 of us)She refilled water, then brought the other 2 pies. Very disappointed in the service, food (chicken strips were overcooked and chewy). I think you need to hire more staff (especially for Wednesdays--maybe all days?) Also had to wait to pay the bill as the hostess was helping the other staff--waited for about 8 minutes

There wasn't a childrens menu so my 4 year old had no crayons to color with. The windows & sills were dirty in our booth. The glass in the front door had not been washed for some time.

We eat there often because Shari's is one of our favorite restaurants. My problem with this Sharis is that most every visit we have to stand at the door awaiting someone to seat us. This is an ongoing problem at this restaurant. Where is the hostess? I don't believe this is an acceptable practice with this chain of restaurants but it happens most every visit. I hope this helps because we love Shari's and are regular customers but we watch customers come in and get disgusted because they are left standing at the entry for long periods of time.

The last 2 times some co-workers and I have visited the Milw Shari's, the service as been EXTREMELY POOR. Mind you, we are arriving after 9:30pm and the place is almost deserted. Plus, we are all teachers, so we get what those waitresses are doing! We readily recognize fiddling around, side talk, not staying on task, etc. Last time one person in our group got a totally burned toasted cheese sandwich. Not acceptable to even serve, let along eat! Both times our food has been on the cold side. It had been up and ready to be brought to us, BUT our waitress was off doing "nothing"! Thus our food arrived cold. The sad thing is........and I will speak for myself now........my meal was actually very tasty, cooked well, presented pleasingly; except, it was cold! And I know it wasn't cold when the cook initially put it on the plate! When I go to the Oregon City Shari's, I never experience this mediocre to none service! And if they wonder why we don't leave........WELLLLLL.....its cuz the bill wasn't brought to us! If they brought it at an appropriate time, then we would leave all most after completing the meal and then they could get back to doing nothing again!!!

The restaurant was short-staffed with only one waitress trying to do it all and the place was fairly well occupied. She was running as fast as possible to keep up with everything, so there needs to be more help on Friday evenings when it gets busy. Because of this problem, we waited a long time to order, a long time to get our food, and a long time to get our bill at the end of our dinner. Also, one of the dishes ordered was lukewarm. We ate it anyway, but it wasn't as enjoyable if it had been warmer.

I have enjoyed Shari's in the past. However, I didn't care for the gravy very much and the chicken fried steak was tasteless. The service was good, but the pies did not taste fresh. I will come back because most of the time the food and service are good.
