The reason is I had to pay for a delivery charge and then when I asked if they could take away the bed already there I was told this would be an additional charge.

1. We felt the salesman did not listen when we initially told him what our cash budget was and he frequently tried to sell us a more expensive bed. He kept on saying we could finance the difference although I told him on several occasions that I do not do finance and prefer to pay cash within my budget. 2. We were then pressured to purchase new pillows, which we did by buying 2 for £79. 3. We were not allowed to browse freely and kept salesman kept pestering us.

Some of the colours of the bed bases were not on display. Was offered sample swatches to select from. On a previous visit the sales exec who was helping me pushed hard for the sale. When I returned this time to purchase I was not offered the same discounts / promotions. I understand that promotions only run for certain periods but on the previous visit I was offered promotions that were not on general offer. Also annoyed I had to pay insurance for the product whilst competitors include in the price. The product I bought was of a similar price to that of a competitor who included the insurance in their price. I had to pay for delivery which was offered complimentary when I visited previously and at the same time I was also advised that my old bed and mattress would be disposed off free of charge. This time I had to pay for my mattress to be taken away. I do not think I will be making a purchase in Dreams again

We weren't very happy with the way the sales person made as feel he giving us an offer but then didn't tell us that the price he had quoted didn't include delivery until we sat down and were about to proceed with the order. This felt a little dishonest but we went ahead with the order anyway.

The price was not clear Every time I went to place the order another charge came up. For example I bought the insurance as I was told it covered everything but at the last minute to be told the headboard would be extra. It felt like I was dealing with a market stall in an east London

The lady serving us was clearly new, and after filling out the credit form she had forgotten to ask us a qs, and had to start all over again. This time she got her colleague to fill the form in, and he wasn't very thorough (it was close to closing time and we could tell the staff wanted to leave). He was saying "we'll just put anything in here, it doesn't matter" and as a result we were rejected credit. (our credit history is impeccable and this has since made a bad mark on our history!). We had been in the shop for almost an hour at this point, and had to leave empty handed as they were basically kicking us out. We have since been back and just bought the bed outright, becasue it was the bed we wanted - if i could have found it elsewhere i would have gone! Even though we are setting up our first home and could have done without paying £1000 out! I would recommend the beds, but will not be returning to the Ruislip store.

Everything was running smoothly until the Invoice was raised. There was number of confusions with regards what I was told and what was actually put down on the Invoice. Particularly when I was informed the extra discount of 20% included the bed and the mattress. This was not the case as I only got discount of 20% on the mattress. There was also little confusion on extra payment of having continental draws. So the experience at the end left us with not very good experience. There was a point when the sales person appeared little flippant even though he was the one who made a mistake.

The bed was on offer at around £1799 with a further 20% to be discounted, when i'd racked up the extra's i actually paid over £2500. I could not get my head around the pricing mechanism (it's fair to say i upgraded the base to an Ottoman which added cost however don't see the discount being applied or the extra 20%).
